We were in Austin, Texas for a long weekend with our two oldest sons and their wives. This is the upstairs of Sean and Amy’s new house. Ryan and Bree flew down, and Steve and I drove to Texas. I love to drive and who wouldn’t want to spend 15 hours in the car each way?!

We spent the night in Waco and I had this delicious breakfast at Chip & Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Table the next morning. The bacon was amazing! If you plan to visit Waco, email me at Beth@StampingMom.com. We’ve been to Waco on almost every Texas visit over the last three years and I have lots of advice for you, if you want it.

Spice Village is 60 clothing & decor boutiques under one roof. I always find super cute and reasonably priced items at Spice Village in Waco.

I usually make homemade pie crust, but for these mini pies I used Pillsbury and it worked out really well. I got 4 single crust mini pies from each sheet of pie crust and made pumpkin and leaf embellishments with the extra dough.

Amy wanted the mini pumpkin pie.

Steve and Sean wanted mini pecan pies.

Ryan, Bree and I chose mini coconut cream pies. This pie is made with my dear friend, Donna’s, homemade pudding recipe. Everyone was happy with their mini pies. Sean made brisket on his smoker/grill and it was delicious! We all loved Amy’s specialty loaded mashed potatoes. I also made our family favorite, Corn Casserole. It was fun to celebrate Thanksgiving with our kids in Texas. Amy’s table and the entire house was decorated beautifully.

We also had fun going to Wurstfest and doing the polka. You can see those pictures and Sean in his lederhosen  here.

Loved the fun fold card last night. I plan on making it sometime soon since I have a piece from the “shares” I ordered through you. We never made it to Waco when we lived in Houston but we went to Austin, Fredricksburg, and New Braufels several times. I will rewatch the video to get the measurements.

Love your Fun Fold Christmas card! I never make cards with fun folds for some reason. I also loved hearing about your TEXAS trip (my home state). Waco is or was one of Texas’ best kept secrets before Chip & Joanna came along! LOL! I lived 30 mins outside of Waco for 2 years before moving to the Hill Country an hour outside of Austin for about 8 years. So many great places to visit in Texas. 🙂
