When I hear the words, “With a Little Help from My Friends,” I can’t help but smile. Whether it’s the Beatles’ famous song or the sweet friendship between Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, the message is the same—we were never meant to do life alone.
I’ve been thinking about that as I created these cards. So many of my favorite memories involve friends who encouraged me, laughed with me, prayed for me, or simply showed up when I needed them most. Sometimes all it takes is a little help—or a little encouragement—from a friend to brighten our day.
That’s exactly what I thought about while creating today’s cards with the Silly Old Bear Suite. Pooh and Piglet remind us that friendship doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give is simply letting someone know they’re loved and remembered.
Last week’s video featured the card on the left. Rather than letting the extra arch pieces go to waste, I used them to create this week’s card on the right. I hope it inspires you to look at your leftover pieces with fresh eyes—you might be surprised at what you can create! Here’s the inside of this simple card shown below.
