My parents have been blessed with 60 years of marriage and we recently had a party for them to celebrate. A 60th Anniversary is considered the Diamond Anniversary and only 5.5 percent of couples make it that far. I wanted to make them a special card so I got out my Simply Elegant Suite and went to work.

Inside the card I heat embossed the florish and “Happy Anniversary.”

I like this fun fold because it’s easy, stands up well and is just different than the standard card we usually make. Here’s a free pdf showing how to make this card.

Here’s some pictures from the 60th Anniversary party. My parents are in blue on the right. Mom’s brother, Jerry, and his wife, Janice, are on the left. As I was growing up we celebrated almost every birthday at the Happy Joes Pizza Parlor in Muscatine, Iowa with Uncle Jerry, Aunt Jan, and cousins, Chris and Eric. 🙂

Here’s my Dad on the left with his brother, Richard, and sister, Irene. At almost every family get together, I remember these three would get on their knees and hold their feet with their hands and race across the floor. I don’t remember who usually won, but it was always a hoot to see them having so much fun together!

My Grandma Olson would be so happy to see the love and support these three have for each other!

Happy 60th Anniversary Mom & Dad!!
