Winnie-the-Pooh (also known as Edward Bear, Pooh Bear or simply Pooh) is a fictional teddy bear created by the English author A. A. Milne and the English illustrator E. H. Shepard. Winnie-the-Pooh first appeared by name in a children’s story commissioned by London’s Evening News for Christmas Eve 1925. The character is inspired by a stuffed toy that Milne had bought for his son Christopher Robin in Harrods department store, and a bear named Winnie they had viewed at London Zoo.

World Bee Day is observed each year, to raise awareness on the essential role bees and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy, and on the many challenges they face today.
Most of my bee knowledge was gained in November 2024 when I visited my sister, Jenn, and did a tour at the Savannah Bee Company.
I must admit, I wasn’t brave enough to do this until my little sister did it first and survived unscathed.
