Steve has been working hard on our kitchen. He sanded, stained and put the protective coating on our 35 year old solid oak kitchen cabinets. He also finished new drawers and doors. I’ve helped, but Steve is my hero and has done most of the work! I will have all the work of removing saw dust from every square inch of our home, cleaning and organizing everything before the cabinets are filled back up. Most people have painted over their 80’s oak, but we are trying to revive ours for when oak is “in” again in 20 years. 🙂 To be perfectly honest there isn’t much about Steve and I that’s “in” because we don’t care about that. We just think oak is beautiful!

My favorites of the new In Colors are Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya. They also make awesome colors for sherbet using the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle. When my husband, Steve, was little his parents gave him sherbet when he had a sore throat. He liked it so much, that he would fake having a sore throat to get it. He said my cards look delicious… 🙂

My dear friend, Christy, had a full knee replacement earlier this week. Did I go buy flowers? Nope, I made this easy set of five “thank you” notecards so she would have them ready to thank all the people bringing her flowers or a meal. Hopefully the cute snails brightened her day as well!
