Do you know someone you don’t get to see very often because they’re so busy? With all the hustle-bustle going on in the world today, this Coffee Break set is the perfect gift to take to that person, and sit down with them for a chat. The k-cup holder is a cinch to put together – it could even stand on its own. But adding the other little coffee gift along with that matching card is sure to please and relax even the busiest friend. So, it’s time to enjoy – it’s “Time for a Coffee Break”.

If you would like to learn how to make this project, you’ll want to subscribe for the month of August. Go Cubs Go!

When our wonderful family friends and fellow Cubs fans had their first grandchild recently, Superman (my husband Steve) went online and ordered the young lad some proper Cubs attire.

So this is the first and only baby gift Steve has ever purchased for anyone.  He was genuinely excited about the baby’s arrival and also excited when his precious Cubs baby clothes arrived in the mail!

I’ve always loved Teddy Bears, but sometime during the time I was busy having my four kids, I stopped collecting them.  This Stampin Up Baby Bear stamp set, however, will always be in my stamping collection.  Isn’t it adorable?!

Add some sunshine to someone’s life with a little lemony treat! In this tutorial, you will create your own lemon pattern cardstock to make a bright birthday card, a lemon candy treat in a popcorn box, and a card with a lemon tea bag tucked in a pocket. You will also make a mini treat bag with a sliding insert that reveals a lemon herbal tea bag. You can’t help but smile while making these bright and cheery projects.

Abby and Keegan finished their Physics class at the community college last night.  Time to get Abby ready for college.  I’m thrilled for her and know she’ll do great, but I get teary eyed every time I think about it.  Sunday, August 13 is the day Abby moves to college.  I told Keegan he has to go with us to be the muscle getting Abby’s things up the stairs and also to drive me home, because I may not be able to see the road through my tears.  Superman will be with us that day, but then has business in Davenport so he won’t be able to drive me home himself.  (I actually do almost all the driving normally, but I have no doubt driving home that day will be too hard for me.) Keegan’s biggest concern is all the extra time that Steve and I will have to micromanage him, since he’ll be the only kid for the first time ever.  He’s been trying to bribe Abby to stay home with him this year and they could go off to college together next year. 🙂
