Stampin’ Up! Halloween Reese’s Peanut Butter Boxes

I’ve told you this before, but for those of you who are new to my blog…did you know Stampin’ Up! has a gift box for Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins?  My kid’s favorite treat to receive for any holiday is Reese’s Peanut Butter ________!  You know…Hearts, Eggs, Pumpkins, Christmas Trees etc.  Does Reese’s make a Peanut Butter Turkey?  They would like that too.  Anyway, I make these boxes for every holiday that Reese’s and my kids celebrate together 🙂  Here’s the Reese’s Peanut Butter Box for this year.  I copied the theme from yesterday’s Halloween treat box.

Each box fits two Reese’s Pumpkins.  Do you have a favorite?  If so, please go to the top of the post and leave a comment.

Yesterday I posted this Halloween treat holder and some of you wanted directions.  The Island Indigo (blue paper) is 3 1/4″ wide and 11″ long.  Score at 2-1/2″, 3″, 6-7/8″ and 7-3/8″.  Use an oval punch or framelit to make the hole for the Kit Kat.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

It was trick or treat night here in West Des Moines tonight.  It’s always on October 30 and the kids tell a joke and then get some candy.  It’s a beautiful night and fun to connect with our neighbors.  We’ve seen lots of cute kids and also cute dogs dressed in costumes.  The only thing that would make the evening better is if the Cubs win their World Series game tonight!  We need to get that “W” flag flying instead of laying in the bushes.  Yeah!  It’s Monday morning and the “W” flag is up and flying! Go Cubs Go!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

When I was at Lisa Pretto’s Business Builder retreat, I met the very sweet demo, Dorothy Gunter, and  she gave everyone this adorable Halloween treat holder.  Well, she gave me one very similar to this and my dogs ate it.  (My dogs eat anything that smells like chocolate.  They actually snatched it off my desk in my stamping office.)

You can put a fun size Kit Kat or other type of candy inside.  Do you see how the fence actually holds the top flap in place? How cool is that?!  I can see decorating these for Thanksgiving, Christmas or other holidays.

Thanks Dorothy!  I love it and I hope you love it too!

Hope you’re having a good weekend.  We were sad about the Cubs loss Friday night and here’s the W flag down in the bushes.  We are hoping to put the flag back up on Saturday night!

Superman, aka my husband Steve, was busy being super today.  He spent a lot of time spraying the new Stamp n Storage for my new craft room.  College son Ryan also helped him spray paint after he raked up all our leaves for us.  We need to remember to have Ryan come home more often!  Sweet Abby helped with the leaves too before she left for a choir performance.  Keegan did his mowing job for the neighbors this morning and then had drama all day.  I don’t think he minded not raking our leaves!

Here’s my new craft room!  The good news is it can only get better from here!  See the plastic over the door?  That’s how you walk out to the new sun room.

The sun room has knotty pine on the walls and ceiling.  The cabins we stay at for our Family Bible camp in Okoboji are made with the same knotty pine.  That’s where we got the idea.  Everything is supposed to be done in two weeks.  I can hardly wait!

I have lots of samples made for the Stampin’ Up! convention in Kansas City next weekend.  I absolutely love the supplies Stampin’ Up! sent me.  I can’t wait to show you everything I made.

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

Aren’t these two adorable?!  It reminds me of when Abby and Keegan were little, wearing matching costumes for Halloween. My favorite was when they were Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

I hope you’ve noticed I haven’t been posting much.  I came home from Wisconsin sick and haven’t felt great ever since.  Abby and Keegan have also been sick.  My construction project has turned the house into a messy haunted looking house.  I’ve been asked to design for Craft Project Central again in December, but the project outline is due this week and the complete project is due in two weeks.  Meanwhile my twelve projects I’m doing as a convention sample designer for Stampin’ Up need to be done in one week.  I’m also trying to hold it together as a BSF group leader, Mom and wife.   Needless to say, every time I stamp it’s for something I can’t put on my blog yet.  I am going to stamp two more Halloween projects and then I promise I’m done with Halloween.  I know some of you don’t like Halloween, but please stick with me.  I hope to have cute things you will like soon. Thanks for your patience.

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
