My favorites of the new In Colors are Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya. They also make awesome colors for sherbet using the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle. When my husband, Steve, was little his parents gave him sherbet when he had a sore throat. He liked it so much, that he would fake having a sore throat to get it. He said my cards look delicious… 🙂

Measurements

Cut 4-1/4” x 11″ Melon Mambo Cardstock, scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
Cut 4″ x 5-1/2″ Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
Cut 2-5/8″ x 3-7/8″ Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
Cut 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ Coastal Cabana Cardstock
Cut 2-1/2″ x 4” How Sweet It Is DSP
Cut (2) 2-3/4″x 4″ Whisper White Cardstock
Scraps of Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape and Coastal Cabana for the cupcakes.

Instructions

Run the 4″ x 5-1/2″ Gorgeous Grape Cardstock through the Big Shot using the largest Rectangle Stitched Framelits. Adhere to the right side of the Melon Mambo.
Adhere the How Sweet It Is DSP to the far left side of the Melon Mambo.
Run the Coastal Cabana Cardstock through the Big Shot using the third largest Rectangle Stitched Framelits.
Stamp “Time for a Spectacular Celebration” on one piece of the
Whisper White Cardstock using Melon Mambo ink. Stamp the confetti on the other piece of Whisper White Cardstock using Melon Mambo ink. Both these stamps are in the Birthday Cheer stamp set.
Run both the Whisper White Cardstock pieces through the Big Shot using the fifth largest Rectangle Stitched Framelits.
Adhere the three Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape and Whisper White rectangles to the DSP on the left side of the card. Leave the part “hanging over” after the score line free from adhesive.
Adhere the other Whisper White rectangle to the center of the Gorgeous Grape on the right side of the card.
Run the scraps through the Big Shot with the cupcake edgelits.
Adhere the cupcake pieces together and attach to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Dad’s 80th Birthday!

Festive Friday Challenge

My Dad will be 80 on Monday February 25! I thought using the crazy colors of Mardi Gras and Glimmer Paper would make an extra special birthday card to show my Dad how much we love him! Don’t tell him, but I made a card to fit in a business size (4″ x 9-1/2″ ) envelope so I could put all the gift cards we got him to his favorite area restaurants. 🙂

Instructions

Score the Pineapple Punch Cardstock at 4” to form the card base. Crease using a bone folder.
Adhere the Whisper White Cardstock inside the card after using the Trio Punch to corner round the edges of both the Pineapple Punch and Whisper White Cardstock.
Run the 1” x 1″ various colors of cardstock pieces through the Big Shot with the “HAPPY” letters and adhere to the Pineapple Punch Cardstock using Mini Dimensionals.
Run the 2″ x 4″ Silver Glimmer Paper through the Big Shot with two Stitched Rectangles and adhere to the Pineapple Punch Cardstock.
Run the 1-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ Bermuda Bay Cardstock through the Big Shot with the “birthday” from the Well Written Famelits and adhere to the Pineapple Punch Cardstock. Add a Glitter Enamel Dot to dot the “i.”
Run the 4″ x 4″ Poppy Parade Cardstock through the Big Shot with the largest heart from Be Mine Framelits and adhere to the Pineapple Punch Cardstock.
Run the 4″ x 4″ Silver Glimmer Paper through the Big Shot with two largest hearts from Be Mine Framelits and the “80th” from the Large Numbers Framelits.tangles and adhere to the Poppy Parade Heart.

My Dad helps me with my therapy dogs. We visit Memory Care and Assisted Living. He always works with Maya, our older pup. He doesn’t usually wear an elf suit.

Dad had on the elf suit because right after we got done with Pet Therapy, he was one of Santa’s elves for the Christmas party. Yep, my Dad is an awesome Dad, Grandpa, Pet Therapy visitor and a darn good elf! Happy 80th Birthday Dad!! Mom, your three girls, three son-in-laws and nine grandkids love you very much!
