Steve and I started walking most mornings when COVID began. We become friends with some neighbor ladies who always walk at the same time. The ladies loved seeing our two therapy pups, Maya and Molly. One of our new sweet friends made puppy blankets for each of them. To thank Mary for her special gift, I made the “Puppies in a Basket” thank you card. We also gave Mary some flowers 🙂
Even though my pups don’t look like the pups on the card, I think both sets of pups are very cute. 🙂 Maya wears the red vest and is 13 years old. Molly wears the purple vest and is 11 years old. They have both been therapy dogs since they were 1 year old. I went to a class to learn how to train Maya to be a therapy dog. I trained Molly on my own. They haven’t been able to do any pet therapy visits since COVID began, so they save all their love for our family and our friends we see during our walks 🙂
I’m participating in a monthly International Blog Highlights contest and the top 10 vote winners get to participate in an International Blog Hop. Would you consider taking a moment and voting for my card? I’d really appreciate it!
How to do Voting? Once you click on the button below you can see the photos. Please look for my Puppies in a Basket card (#30) and click on the little heart sign on the right-hand top side of my photo. Once you’ve touched the little clear heart it will turn to Red Color and that is the notification that you voted. You can vote for up to five, but it’s not required, you can also just vote for one. Thanks so much!

If you’re looking for a group of positive, encouraging stampers, this is the group for you. I give a list of supplies and then every hour you get another direction. I plan to add Metric measurements since I now have Kylie’s card templates. Thanks Kylie! Mystery Stamping is free and open to all stampers worldwide. Please join us this weekend. 🙂 This is the card I based my directions for last week’s Mystery Stamping. Here’s the directions to make this card and to show you how Mystery Stamping works.
Mystery Stamping #19
DSP- Designer Series Paper or patterned paper
CS- Card Stock
EF- Embossing Folder
SCEM- Stampin’ Up Cut and Emboss Machine or other die cutting machine
Clue #1 Supplies needed:
DSP that coordinates with a ribbon and one or two other colors of CS.
5-1/2” x 8-1/2” Color CS- Color #1, scored at 4-1/4” to form card base.
4” x 5-1/4” White CS
1-1/2” x 5-1/4” DSP Make sure you cut your DSP so it’s the right way depending on if you are making a vertical or horizontal card.
2-1/2” x 5-1/4” Color CS-Color #2 or you can use Color #1 if your DSP coordinates better with only one color
6” ribbon
Scraps of White CS
Small to medium sentiment stamp and coordinating ink
Tag punch or die to cut out sentiment
Small Image stamp(s) with coordinating punch, die or images you can fussy cut (fussy cut- cut out with scissors) This might be flowers, fruit, leaves etc.
Embossing Folder
Adhesive, Tear & Tape or Seal+ and Stampin’ Dimensionals
Pearls, rhinestones, sequins, or anything else you want to jazz up your card.
Please share this post so more people can enjoy doing Mystery Stamping with us. Everyone is welcome!
Clue #2
Run 2-1/2” x 5-1/4” Color CS through the die cutting machine with an Embossing Folder. Adhere embossed piece to the left side of 4” x 5-1/4” White CS. Adhere DSP to the right side of the White CS. Trim the edges if any White CS is showing.
Clue #3
Wrap ribbon around card and adhere on the seam between embossed piece and DSP. Be careful not to get glue on the front of your card. (Ask me how I know?!) Tape ends of the ribbon to the back side with Scotch Tape. Adhere this piece to the card base.
Clue #4
Stamp sentiment on White CS scrap and cut out with punch or die. Pop up sentiment layer on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere so part of your sentiment layer is covering part of the ribbon.
Clue #5
Stamp images and cut out. Adhere stamped images in a cluster around a corner of your sentiment layer on the embossed layer side. Sprinkle with 3-5 rhinestones, pearls, enamel dots, etc.
Clue #6
Add anything else you want to jazz up your card. Decorate the inside of your card and envelope. Wait for the “Mystery Stamping Done” post and post your finished cards there. Please like and comment on the other cards posted. Share with your friends and ask them to vote by liking your card. I can’t wait to see what you make.
Please join me Wednesdays at noon Central time for my Crafting Fun Facebook Live on my Stamping Mom FB page. I’ll be here again next Friday at noon Central for Mystery Stamping. See you then!
Mystery Stamping Done
Please post your finish cards here. You have until Sunday evening to post your cards. Please like and comment on the cards and share with your friends so they can make cards with us on Fridays and throughout the weekend. Whichever card gets the most “likes” will be this week’s People’s Choice Award winner. Don’t worry about winning, Mystery stamping is all about using your supplies, learning another card layout and finishing a card and putting it in the mail for someone to enjoy. Let’s have fun!! 😊
I would love to be your Stampin’ Up demo and help you with all your crafting needs if you live in the USA! Please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com if you would like the catalogs before you order, or if I can help you with anything.
Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for our Retirement Fun Fold Party – showcasing our favorite products from the Holiday Catalog that will be leaving us forever. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I love making fun fold cards and this one is super easy. It’s a regular A2 card cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Normally you would just score at 4-1/4″. On this card you score at both 4-1/4″ and 7-1/4″. That’s it 🙂 Here’s a free PDF with supplies and directions to make this card.
I used the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), Snowfall accents Puff Paint and Let It Snow Embellishment Kit which are all retiring soon and only available while supplies last.
Here’s what the card looks like flat as it comes out of the envelope. These cute snowman and trees are just fussy cut from the DSP.
The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder. The Blueberry Bushel piece is popped up on dimensionals so the folded part of the card can rest against it. I also left white space for a hand written greeting.
I couldn’t stop with just the cute card and made this coordinating gift box using the Stitched Nested Labels dies. My box shape is cased from demo Brenda Quintana, but I made my box a smaller size and decorated with the snowman. Here’s a link to the video to make the box.
If you don’t have these Let it Snow Suite products already, I hope you get them before it’s too late!
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 8th, for our Time to Sale-A-Brate blog hop when our Design Team showcase projects using brand new products from the new mini catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure. Don’t miss the fun!
