Double Pocket Treat Holder Directions

Double Pocket Treat Holders are quick and easy to make. Here’s a 6×6 treat holder made with Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I’ve made them in three sizes: 6×6, 8×8, and 12×12.  Choose the size you want to make.  My directions below will be for the 8×8.

So far everything is the same for all three sizes.  Here’s where each size is scored differently.  Choose the size paper you started with and score accordingly.

Score 6×6 at 3″ and 5-1/2″

Score 8×8 at 3-3/4″ and 7-1/2″

Score 12×12 at 5-1/4″ and 11-1/2″

Open and fold the two sides toward the center.

If you’re making the 6×6 treat holder, you’ll have snip off a little bit on each side, that hangs over when you fold on the score lines as shown above.

Add adhesive on the two places shown above and fold together making sure the pockets will lay flat.  Punch whatever size hole you want on the other two corners also shown above.  I used the 3/4″ punch for the 8×8 and 12×12.  I used the 1/2″ for the 6×6.  I punched the first hole where I thought it looked good, then I folded the two pieces together and punched the second hole by matching it up with the first one.

For Step 6, fold together in the shape of a “W.”  The pockets go to the outside. Bring the two holes together at the top and add a ribbon.  Decorate as desired.

It took me a couple days to get the directions ready in between several runs to Menard’s, Office Depot, cleaning and painting walls etc.  Tomorrow is supposed to be the last day of our construction, but we are moving furniture on Saturday, cleaning carpets and the tile grout next Monday and Wednesday.  We also are getting rid of Sean’s old desk, moving Steve’s desk down to Sean’s room, moving Steve’s office into my old stamping office (his original office) and moving my 13 years of Stampin’ Up! supplies into my new Stamping Studio.  My sister called tonight to see what her family should bring to Thanksgiving.  I told her I’ve ordered a ham and turkey and that’s as far as I’ve gotten.  I always make homemade pies and our other Thanksgiving favorites. Have you started planning your Thanksgiving?  Do you have a favorite kind of pie?  I like to make Pumpkin, Pecan, Apple and Coconut Cream. Two weeks left to get everything done.  It’s good to have a deadline.  🙂

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

This Double Pocket Treat Holder is made with a 8×8 piece of Party Animal Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 2017 Occasions catalog.  I was blessed to be a display stamper for the Kansas City Stampin’ Up! convention last weekend and got to use product that isn’t available to customers until Jan 4, 2017.  I think you should add Party Animal DSP to your wish list!  All kinds of treats will fit in this Double Pocket Treat Holder, but I added a 3×3 card and envelope.  You can probably get four cards to fit, two in each pocket.

Here’s a smaller version made with a 6×6 piece of Party Animal DSP.  Isn’t it adorable?!  Who wouldn’t want a couple Ghirardelli treats to brighten your day!

Let me know if you want the directions, they are super simple to make.  I have a Christmas version made with Candy Cane Lane DSP I can show you tomorrow.

Stampin Up Occasions Catalog 2017 Sneak Peek

Yeah!  I finally get to start showing you what I made as a display stamper for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in Kansas City!

New Stampin Up Occasions 2017 catalog birthday card made with the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies, Balloon Adventures stamp set and Party Animal DSP designed by demo Beth McCullough. This was one of the display samples from the Kansas City OnStage event. Please see more card and gift ideas at www.StampingMom.com #StampingMom #cute&simple4u

I made one 12×12 scrapbook page, two A2 cards, several 3×3 cards and many bags and boxes.  I’ll be posting them over the next couple weeks.  Please subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss any.  This is my very favorite card.  I love it and hope you do too!  When Stampin’ Up sent me a box of free products in August, I was thrilled when I opened it and found the Party Animal Suite.  I got the Balloon Adventures stamp set, Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies, Party Animal DSP and more!  The colors in the the Party Animal Designer Series Paper (DSP) are Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White.  It is bright, happy and fun.  I love it!  I only wish I would’ve thought to make a shaker card with it. I highly recommend the Party Animal Suite of products.  It was so much fun making everything!

I got to go to Center Stage Friday night, which is the special dinner and event for Silver Elite and above.  Yep, I’ve been a demo for 13 years and never qualified for Center Stage until now… because of my promotion in September, I was at Center Stage and it was so cool!  I even got the special bag that only those at Center Stage receive.  After watching others get these for 13 years, I have to admit it was really fun to get one!  Thanks so much to my customers and downline team mates for helping me achieve this fun reward!

I’ll be back with all my other display samples over the next two weeks while I’m busy cleaning up from the construction and moving into the remodeled space in my house.  Everything is supposed to be done this Friday!  I’m also hosting a big Thanksgiving at my house, so it’s going to be a busy couple weeks.  If you visited my house today, you would say it isn’t possible that everything will be done, cleaned and ready by Thanksgiving!  I hope I can tell you on Thanksgiving that we got it all done!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
