Before Christmas, our son Ryan graduated from Iowa State with a degree in Software Engineering.  The best part is he has a job!  Here’s the card I made for him.  The Large Number Framelits have retired, but they will always be in my stash. 🙂  Numbers also happen to be the challenge over at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog this week.  Head over to http://useyourstuff.blogspot.com/ and enter your card, 3-D item or scrapbook page containing numbers.  Please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com if you would like some help. 🙂

I am incredibly proud of Ryan!  I love this sentiment that came from the new, “Incredible Like You,” stamp set, which is in the 2019 Occasion Catalog on page 21.

Here’s my parents, Steve, Abby, Keegan and I showing love and support for Ryan!  At least I think Keegan is showing support…the sign he’s holding above Ryan’s head says, “future inventor of something useless.”

My Dad is a 1962 Iowa State graduate!  He greatly influenced all my kids and my three boys ended up becoming engineers at Iowa State, just like Grandpa! You can tell how proud Grandpa is here with Ryan and Cy!

Marcelyn Churchill is my friend, Stamping Joy team member, fellow BSFer (Bible Study Fellowship) and prolific crafter.  She doesn’t have a blog, so I share some of her creations on most Mondays.

Tips- Adhere the sequins according to the rule of odds. The “rule of odds” suggests that an odd number of subjects in an image is more interesting than an even number. Thus the suggestion is to choose an arrangement with at least three subjects, hence we have three sequins.   A triangular format creates a sense of stability and strength, therefore the sequins are placed in a triangular formation.  Who knew you could put so much thought into where to place the sequins and how many should be used?  What happens when one sequin falls off in the mail? Both rules are violated as we are left with two sequins in a line and the card automatically self-destructs!  🙂 If I send you a card and one sequin has fallen off, look for it in the envelope and reapply with a glue dot.  🙂

Another Tip- Always use Momento ink with Stampin’ Blends.  Always us Stazon ink when watercoloring.

Did you notice anything wrong with the picture above?  Me neither. I showed both Stampin’ Write markers and Stampin’ Blends because I thought both were used in the coloring of the cakes.  Silly me!  Why is it I don’t know what was used to color the cakes?  I guess I should admit that I didn’t color them.  Abby corrected me when she saw the picture and would like you to know that all the cakes were colored with only Stampin’ Blends.  🙂

Thanks Abby for coloring at least 15 cakes for me!  I’m going to miss you so much when you go back to college this weekend and not just because you emptied the dishwasher every day for a month, wrapped all the Christmas presents and helped me with lots of things way more than your brothers!  Love you Abby Dazzle! 🙂

These sweet Valentine Triangle boxes are simple and easy to make.  They are the perfect size for giving a Lindt truffle or something small from Tiffany’s… just kidding!  Steve, Abby, Keegan and I just spent five days in NYC going to Broadway shows.  We visited Swarovski, but not Tiffany’s.  🙂 To see picture directions to make the triangle box, look near the end of last year’s post. If you prefer video instructions, I have those below.
