What’s more fun than making a personalized birthday card with your daughter-in-law to be? Amy and I got three cards made last weekend and this one was my favorite! Steve and I enjoyed our time with Sean and Amy very much.
Amy got to experience six inches of snow on Saturday and she was thrilled. They don’t get a lot of snow in Texas.
We used the Playful Alphabet dies to personalize the card. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is the free Host paper from the Annual catalog. The stitched stars are made with the Give it A Whirl dies. The cute penguin and balloon are from the Penguin Place bundle. Stitched So Sweetly dies were used to make the Basic White piece behind the penguin.
Amy loves penguins and Sean is taking her to Sea World for her birthday next month to do the behind the scenes Penguin Encounter. I can’t wait to hear all about it.
It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge! This week’s challenge #FF0100 is celebrating our 100th Challenge! Festive Friday was started by Nicole Watt, Ann Schach and I in 2018. It’s so exciting to get to #100!
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project. Incorporate THREE or more of the items in your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item and join us. If you want help entering, please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com and I’d be happy to help you! From the Inspo List I used numbers, patterned papers and punches. Your entry doesn’t have to have anything to do with our 100th Challenge. It would be awesome if our 100th challenge becomes your first challenge! Please join our celebration even if you’ve never participated in a challenge before.

What a wonderful thing to be able to do – share your passion with your soon to be daughter in law and what a fabulous card you made. I just love the little balloon with that adorable penguin. The touch of yellow for the stars is a fabulous finishing touch

An adorable card, Beth! Brady’s girlfriend loves to stamp. This next fall when we rent a home for a couple of months, I am making sure to bring lots of “stamping stuff”. Brady misses stamping, too! Have a wonderful week!
Super cute! What a joy that your future DIL enjoys crafting too!
Your card is adorable. It’s my dream to have daughters in law who love to craft (and bake and watch movies) with me!
I laughed and laughed when I read your comment. Yes, Amy looks young, but she will be 32 on Valentine’s Day. My son looks young too, so I think their kids will be blessed to look young as well. 🙂
Thanks for the sweet comment Vicki!
I bet your grandchildren love the personalized cards you’ve made specially for them 🙂
Thanks Chris! Amy has always been crafty and a scrapbooker. She didn’t start making cards until we met. It’s funny because I also was a scrapbooker and crafty person when someone introduced me to making cards. 🙂 It seems to be an entry way to card making 🙂
Thanks Diane!
Hi Joanne,
I hope you’ll be part of FF Design Team for the next 100! Amy is a scrapbooker and crafty person making beautiful wreaths and other creations. She didn’t start making cards until we met last summer. I started out as a scrapbooker and crafty person too until someone introduced me to card making. 🙂
Thanks so much, Melanie! Personalization makes anything we make more special! 🙂
I love personalized cards, and that one is so cute! Luckily Matthew’s name isn’t any longer!
Your sweet penguin is adorable Beth, I love the pop of red and yellow against the gingham – and how lucky that your future daughter-in-law shares your love of stamping too! here’s to the next 100!
What a great card Beth. I love how you interpreted the Inspo list!!!
So cute. That experience with the penguins sounds fantastic. Does Amy make cards regularly or you started to influence her? Anyway, great and fun card! Now, can we get her to take the snow with her or follow her. I am so over it already!
What a cute card! I’ve done personalized ones in the past for grandchildren. it makes the card even more special.
Love the card! And what a nice hobby to share! Being a mother in law is kinda like being a grammy. All the fun and none of the responsibility!
Are they making daughters in law younger now or am I getting older? Amy looks like a sweetie!
