Marcelyn Monday

Marcelyn Churchill is my friend, stamping team member, fellow BSFer (Bible Study Fellowship) and prolific crafter.  She doesn’t have a blog, so I share some of her creations on most Mondays.

This is a purse Marcelyn made out of cardstock and Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It would make a wonderful gift, to give this purse filled with regular full size cards.

Marcelyn made lots of unique purses and everyone who attended the morning session of our Stampapooloza stamp camp received a purse. They all loved them!

A few weeks ago, all the McCullough clan went to South Dakota to celebrate Harold and Ruby’s 60th wedding anniversary.  They spent their honeymoon at Mount Rushmore and had many vacations there over the years.  Harold and Ruby have four sons, four daughter-in-laws and thirteen grandkids ranging in age from 14-28.

Here’s Steve with his Mom.  We spent lots of time playing cards and having fun together.  17 of the 23 were able to make it.  Some of the grandkids live too far away or couldn’t get off work.

It was rainy and chilly most of the week.  The last day before we went home, Steve and I were able to get on our bikes for the first time and did two different bike trails.  It is so beautiful in South Dakota.

Then later that afternoon we hiked to a waterfall.

We went back to the cabin to get Michelle, Matt, Rachel, Gracie and Bill and headed out for a two hour trail ride.  Galloping was involved.   By the end of the day we had had all the fun Steve could think of and I was exhausted!  Hopefully our next vacation will be better weather and we won’t have to squeeze all the physical activities into one day.  My life would be so boring without Steve.  Did you notice the costume changes? The kids and I used to tease Steve because he likes to “dress the part.”  On beach vacations he’s Scuba Steve.  In Alaska, he was Red Neck Steve and when we went to a Dude Ranch, he was Cowboy Steve.  Well, as you can see, now I join him and “dress the part” as well. 🙂 I’d love to hear your favorite vacation stories.

Seeing this huge Buffalo walk by our car in Custer State Park, was one of my highlights of the trip!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

Wow what a get together you had. It is so wonderful to get families together. We had all but two of my grandchildren together in July with lots of family meals and fun. 18 of us!
