January Stampin’ Up Trip Achiever Blog Hop

I’m thrilled to be hopping with the Stampin’ Up! Trip Achievers again this month!

I had so much fun making these simple cards with the new Kite Delight stamp set. Heat embossing got me hooked on making handmade cards and I still love it today! Starting at the left, the first card is made with a stamp inked in Versamark, then placed straight into Magenta Madness ink, and heat embossed with Clear Stampin’ Emboss powder. The next card has White Stampin’ Emboss powder. For the third card, I used Black Stampin’ Emboss powder and then colored inside the lines with Stampin’ Blends. The last card has White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and I used the Stampin’ Blends to color on the lines of the White Stampin’ Emboss powder.

With Clear Stampin’ Emboss powder you can heat emboss in all 50 of Stampin’ Up’s beautiful ink colors. I ink up the stamp with Versamark first, and then ink up the stamp in whatever color I want to use. The Versamark does not hurt my colored ink. I love being able to heat emboss in all the colors!

I like the look of using White Stampin’ Emboss powder on a darker Cardstock color. I used Bermuda Bay and Magenta Madness cardstock on this card.

Using Stampin’ Blends to color inside the black embossed images was fun and easy. Did you see how I used the sunshine stamp to coordinate the card and envelope? Snail mail is more fun when the envelope is cute, too!

On this card I used White Embossing powder and stamped on Basic Black cardstock. I colored directing on the embossed lines. This was also fun and easy!

My husband, Steve, and I do Live videos every Tuesday at 7pm Central on both YouTube and Facebook. Steve tells stories and interacts with our guests while I make fun projects. We even give out prizes each week! Hope you can join us!

Here’s the video showing how to make these Kite Builder cards. We made this one for the 2022 JJ Mini Catalog launch, so it’s not a live video.

If you’d like to stay connected, I would love it if you would subscribe to my blog here, to get blog updates and newsletters containing a free tutorial in each newsletter.

Tuesday April 19th is deadline to sign up for our next Stamp Camp that will be on April 29 and 30th. When you sign up, you’ll receive a card kit to make 12 projects with written and video directions.  You’ll also get a weekend of fun and 12 more live videos with 12 different projects for a total of 24 projects all using the Symbols of Fortune Suite. There will be fun folds, boxes, techniques and more.  Everything is recorded so if you can’t make it that weekend, you can watch the videos on a different day. Demos and customers alike love our quarterly Creativity Abounds Stamp Camps. Here’s what some of the participants had to say:

Linda D said, “I thoroughly enjoyed my first Creativity Abounds Stamp Camp! I loved the global perspective of demonstrators around the world, the projects in both the make and takes and those demonstrated in the lives. The schedule of having a live video every 2 hours and the tips every demonstrator shared while stamping. Although the Symbols of Fortune Suite was not on my radar, I will be ordering because the event was so awesome and I am sure the projects will be amazing!

Linda L said, “I love that I can catch the live videos, but also can go back even months later and watch any of them, especially the ones I missed. There is no pressure to be at the computer on time or it’s gone. I really enjoy making all the projects and all the tips from demos from all over the world. It’s fun to grab a friend and do the stamp camp together. If you already own the suite collection, you can order a similar amount and still get the card kit and stamp camp free.”

Here’s how to sign up for the Stamp Camp-If you purchase the Symbols of Fortune Suite Collection from me for $82.75 (on pages 22-24 of the Spring Mini Catalog), you’ll get everything for the Stamp Camp for FREE!  You’ll need the entire Suite Collection to make all the projects.  If you’ve already purchased that collection or would rather have a different bundle, you can spend $82.75 in my online store on anything you want, and still get the Stamp Camp free of charge.  You will need to get the ribbon, Polished Dots, Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper and Symbols of Fortune DSP to make the projects.

I’m doing an online Stamp Camp with 11 of my Stampin’ Up demo friends from around the world on Jan 28 and 29th. We are all part of the Creativity Abounds Design Team. Demos and customers are both welcome to participate in our Stamp Camp. You can use our tutorials for your classes, but please don’t post our tutorials online, as they are exclusive to this Stamp Camp.
