Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is the New 2023-2025 In Colors. We hope you will be inspired by all the creations the Pals share with you! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
My favorite new In Color is Boho Blue. Boho Blue pairs nicely with Night of Navy. I just received my new Gone Fishing Bundle and wanted to make a fishing vest. That’s how I came up with this card for the Pals Blog Hop. I proudly showed my card to my husband, Steve, and he said guys don’t carry dead fish in their fishing vests and the vests are usually beige. I don’t make beige cards, I make bright and happy cards and the fish signal to the card recipient that it’s a fishing vest. So having used all the creative license I could muster, I left the card exactly how it was. So what do you think, is Steve right or are you on my side? You can leave me a comment as I’d love to hear your opinion (and have you back me up!).
Back to the new In Colors, I also used Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat. I consider all the new In colors except Boho Blue awesome complimentary colors, but for my cards they probably won’t be the main event.
Here’s the inside of the card, it opens like a gatefold card. I used the Countryside Corners and 1/16″ strips to make the pockets. You can see all the products I used to make this card at the bottom of my post. At the beginning of my live video last night I showed this card and talked about how I made it. You can check if out of you’re interested.
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on July 12th, when our theme will be CASE the Catalog, when the design team chooses a card from the new Annual Catalog and recreates it with their own creative twist.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Love your card, Beth! Your husband’s comments made me laugh!
Such a fun card Beth. Love all of the little details.
Great masculine card, Beth! I had to laugh at your discussion with Steve – it took me a little bit to suspend my sense of reality for my cards. That’s art! My card today has blue leaves! LOL Thanks for joining the blog hop this month.
Beth, super fun fishing vest — I just love all of it! This is such a fun bundle!
I love the vest. He isn’t afraid to say what he thinks. I have some sitting in my craft area and I used Mossy Meadow for the vest. I think we can use what ever we want when we create things.
I love the vest! And you’re both right – dead fish don’t belong in pockets, but they definitely let the recipient know what the vest is for!!! 😆
Such a cool and fun shaped card!
