I added a little strip of the polka dot 6 x 6 DSP to make the envelope cute. This is my favorite Designer Series Paper (DSP)  and you’ll find it on the bottom of page 191 of the catalog.  I have purchased the dots and stripes in all six color families.  This way I have cute paper to go with all of my cardstock colors. 🙂

Marcelyn Monday

Marcelyn Churchill is my friend, stamping team member, fellow BSFer (Bible Study Fellowship) and prolific crafter.  She doesn’t have a blog, so I share some of her creations on most Mondays.

Stampin Up purse made by Marcelyn Churchill. Please email Marcelyn at marcelynchurchill@msn.com if you'd like to know how she made the purses.

This is a purse Marcelyn made out of cardstock and Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It would make a wonderful gift, to give this purse filled with regular full size cards.

Marcelyn made lots of unique purses and everyone who attended the morning session of our Stampapooloza stamp camp received a purse. They all loved them!

A few weeks ago, all the McCullough clan went to South Dakota to celebrate Harold and Ruby’s 60th wedding anniversary.  They spent their honeymoon at Mount Rushmore and had many vacations there over the years.  Harold and Ruby have four sons, four daughter-in-laws and thirteen grandkids ranging in age from 14-28.

Here’s Steve with his Mom.  We spent lots of time playing cards and having fun together.  17 of the 23 were able to make it.  Some of the grandkids live too far away or couldn’t get off work.

It was rainy and chilly most of the week.  The last day before we went home, Steve and I were able to get on our bikes for the first time and did two different bike trails.  It is so beautiful in South Dakota.

Then later that afternoon we hiked to a waterfall.

We went back to the cabin to get Michelle, Matt, Rachel, Gracie and Bill and headed out for a two hour trail ride.  Galloping was involved.   By the end of the day we had had all the fun Steve could think of and I was exhausted!  Hopefully our next vacation will be better weather and we won’t have to squeeze all the physical activities into one day.  My life would be so boring without Steve.  Did you notice the costume changes? The kids and I used to tease Steve because he likes to “dress the part.”  On beach vacations he’s Scuba Steve.  In Alaska, he was Red Neck Steve and when we went to a Dude Ranch, he was Cowboy Steve.  Well, as you can see, now I join him and “dress the part” as well. 🙂 I’d love to hear your favorite vacation stories.

Seeing this huge Buffalo walk by our car in Custer State Park, was one of my highlights of the trip!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

Marcelyn Monday and Painted Glass

Marcelyn Churchill is my friend, stamping team member, fellow BSFer (Bible Study Fellowship) and prolific crafter.  She doesn’t have a blog, so I share some of her creations on most Mondays.  She had shoulder surgery on May 23 so took a break, but she is back to almost 100% and stamping like crazy!

Painted Glass fun fold cards designed by demo Marcelyn Churchill. Please see more card and gift ideas at www.StampingMom.com #StampingMom

These are two of the cards Marcelyn designed for our recent Stampapalooza Stamp Camp.  We had a wonderful time with everyone who came and stamped with us for the day.  I hope you can join us for our next Stampapalooza on Saturday, September 29.  Please mark your calendar and plan to attend!

Love these cute little 3×3 cards.

Marcelyn used the Graceful Glass 6×6 Vellum on these beautiful cards.

Please email Marcelyn at marcelynchurchill@msn.com to welcome her back and tell her which card is your favorite.

I told you Steve crashed on his bike during a triathlon one week ago and got nine stitches in his arm, broke his finger and the cement removed the skin from his shoulders, hands, etc.  He rode RAGBRAI (Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) five days later.  Well on Saturday, exactly one week after his crash, he ran the Bix 7 road race in Davenport, Iowa. He did it in 55 minutes, his personal best time ever, in the 15 years he’s run it.  I always used to refer to him as Superman on my blog.  He’s humble and asked me to stop calling him that.  I have a hard time not calling him Superman.  He is an awesome husband and father, works very hard at his job, and pushes himself physically like Superman. Congrats on your PR (personal record) Steve!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
