Do you have a favorite new 2021-23 In Color? I have three favorites, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya. I also used Soft Succulent in all three of these cards. Evening Evergreen is the final new In Color and I’m sure it will become a favorite when I start making Christmas cards.

This card is so easy to make, you could mass produce it and give the cards as a gift set. ( I know I’ve made a lot of gift sets lately, but it’s super fun and everyone who’s received a gift set from me loves it!) The plaid paper comes from the Pansy Petal Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. The plaid and Basic White layers are die cut from the Color & Contour Bundle. The flower petals are fussy cut and come from the Art Gallery stamp set.

I received the Blackberry Bliss version of this card from my friend, Sharon Burkert. Thanks for the sweet birthday card, Sharon! I was so impressed with her card that I cased it and made another one in Bermuda Bay. Both of these cards are made with the retired Sale-A-Bration Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper (DSP). If you have any of this DSP left, you can make these cards in Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green and Rococo Rose. I wanted to make this card in other colors too, so I got out some ink and my Blending Brushes and blended the ink on Basic White cardstock, darker at the bottom and really light at the top. Because the flower dies go over the top, it’s very forgiving no matter how skilled you are at blending.

Here’s a free tip for you 🙂 Adhere a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the back of the cardstock and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (SCEM) with the thinner die. It makes adhering the two layers together a snap.
