The butterflies on these cards look almost like stained glass. Here’s how to do the Stained Glass Technique-Stamp with Versamark on Vellum Cardstock, heat emboss with the embossing powder of your choice. Color the backside with markers or Blends.

Here you can see I colored with Blends on the back side of the butterflies.  It looks messy here, but after I fussy cut them and turned them over, they are beautiful!

Festive Friday- 3 Hershey’s Miniatures Box

It’s time for the second Festive Friday Challenge!  This week’s challenge is Employee Appreciation Day or Ribbon. I used both on my Design Team Entry. For Employee Appreciation Day, you can make a thank you card or gift.    You can also make any type of project that includes ribbon.

I usually put more decoration on my boxes, but this Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) is so stunning I couldn’t bear to cover it up.

Are you wondering where I got the Powder Pink Ribbon to match the box? Yep, you can make any color ribbon using Stampin Up! Markers or Blends and coloring the ribbon.  It’s quick and easy and dries almost immediately.  Use any of the White or Very Vanilla ribbon options that Stampin’ Up! offers.

I experimented with how to decorate the candy inside, but again went with just the Sweet Soiree DSP wrapped around the Hershey’s Miniatures.  I love this paper!

So what projects are you going to make for the Festive Friday Challenge? It’s an amazing challenge where you earn a point every time you enter a card or 3-D item.  You can submit 3 entries per challenge.  You’ll earn 5 points if you are chosen as one of our Festive Friday Faves (three awards given each week!)  You can use your points to choose prizes!  One of the prizes will be the tutorial to make my 3 Hershey’s Miniatures Box!  Make sure you open an account on the Festive Friday Challenge so you can earn your points. Please leave a comment at the top of this post or email me at Beth@StampingMom.com if you enter the Festive Friday Challenge or have any questions. 🙂 The challenge will be open until March 5 at 8pm CST. #festivefridaychallenge #FF0002

Hope you’re having a great week!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

I love this card Marcelyn made this week.  Yes, she did have to put the “puzzle pieces” together to fill all the Cherry Cobbler pieces into the Rose Garden framelit.

Can you see they inked up the stamp with Crumb Cake and then used the Calypso Coral and Old Olive markers to color a few flowers and leaves.  I love having the markers to go with all the Stampin’ Up ink pads.

If you would like to know how to make this or anything else shown here today, please email Marcelyn at marcelynchurchill@msn.com  Marcelyn loves receiving your emails.  Please stop by next week to see more of her creations.

I just sent Abby on her way back to college.  We had a wonderful birthday weekend celebrating her 19th birthday.  Her brothers were huge fans of her choice to go to Latin King for dinner yesterday before church.  We also got to have brunch with my parents this morning.  If only Sean had been home, I would’ve had a “full nest.”  This is the first time she is driving herself back to college.  She came back in the house after I thought she had left, I was so happy to be able to hug my sweet daughter one more time!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
