I love the Foil-Edged Cards & Envelopes and am so happy they will be available until at least June 3, 2019.  Emboss Powder, Shimmery Paper and Mini Sequin Trim make a Sparkly and Shiny card.  I wish I could show it to you in real life. 🙂  We used to always have a New Year’s Eve Party at our house, but stopped doing it the last few years.  Now that I have a card created that I could use as a invitation, we might need to start up the tradition again. 🙂

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s hoppers. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created. Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 9, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share projects “From the Heart”. Don’t miss the fun.

Marcelyn Monday

Yep, it’s been awhile since we’ve had a Marcelyn Monday.  Don’t worry Marcelyn is crafting as much as always.  I just haven’t been around to get the photos and post them.

Marcelyn Churchill is my friend, Stamping Joy team member, fellow BSFer (Bible Study Fellowship) and prolific crafter.  She doesn’t have a blog, so I share some of her creations on most Mondays.

I hosted two Stamping Christmas parties last week.  One for our Stampin’ Up demos in Central Iowa group and one for my Stamping Joy Team.  The day before the first party I was busy setting the table and decided we needed two more items for the centerpiece display.  I saw the card below on my shelf and made a quick call to Marcelyn.  “Hi Marcelyn, how are you doing? Good. Any chance you want to make your navy Bethlehem card without the side flaps and add the vellum, city scene and star so you can see it from both sides?  She was happy to do it, knew exactly what I wanted and showed up the next day with two of the centerpieces you see above. The “snow” was her idea and a nice touch. 🙂 They are sitting on a mirror so that’s why you see double in the picture.  They are gorgeous and Marcelyn was once again my hero!

In the picture below you can see the table set and ready for the Christmas party.  The two Sprig punch trees were made by Marcelyn.  I gave Marcelyn the paper and asked her to make these two trees way back in September.  (In case you might have thought everything is done at the last minute at break neck speed.) 🙂 Marcelyn also made the fudge boxes.  (Yes, again a September request) You can pull the fudge out on the ribbon side and a “Merry Christmas” pops out on the other side.  The fudge was made by my husband, Steve.  Thenks to you Marcelyn, it was a lovely party!

The china is from International China Company “A Christmas Story” by Susan Winget.  Steve’s parents gave me these dishes, glasses, serving pieces etc. over 10 or 15 years of Christmas presents.  I love using them and hope one of my kids will want them some day.  Will people even have a dining room table or eat on china dishes in another twenty years?!

If you have any questions about the centerpieces, fudge boxes or Sprig Punch trees, please contact Marcelyn directly at marcelynchurchill@msn.com

The Central Iowa demos did a gift exchange at our party.  Below are projects made by the demos.  If you have questions about these, please leave a comment and I’ll put you in touch with the demo who made it.

After many weeks of traveling, having several different groups of out of town guests, hosting two Stamping Christmas parties, etc, I finally played with some of my new goodies!  I had a fun filled couple months, but it felt so good to be home alone yesterday with my pups, Christmas music playing, and stamping again in my happy place!

These new products won’t be available until Jan 3, 2019.

I stamped the candles directly on the White Cardstock, the cake and cake stand are cut with the punch and popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals, the flowers are fussy cut and popped up.

I had so much fun making this fudge box for my sweet friend Lindsay! Lindsay has been our family hair stylist for all six of us for many years.  It’s crazy, but my oldest son, Sean, who lives in Seattle, still gets his hair cut whenever he’s back in Iowa because no one is as awesome as Lindsay.  Happy Birthday, Lindsay!  When I walked in her salon yesterday with the box she said, “There better be fudge in that box, calories don’t count on your birthday!”  Lots of people know Steve makes several batches of fudge between Thanksgiving and New Years.  Every year I end up tasting way too much fudge as I cut and package it.  This year I’ve decided it’s best for me to not even taste it.  So far so good.  It would probably be easier to wear a nose plug when I cut it, because let me tell you, it smells delicious and I love Steve’s fudge!  Now that I’ve told you, I want you all to help keep me accountable and ask me if I’ve had any fudge yet. 🙂

So what do you think of the Piece of Cake stamp set and Cake Builder Punch?  I hope it’s going on your “wish list!”

I have pictures from OnStage, my Stamping Christmas parties and more, so please stop by again.  I’m planning to get caught up this week before my college kids start arriving home on Wednesday.

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
