We were in Austin, Texas for a long weekend with our two oldest sons and their wives. This is the upstairs of Sean and Amy’s new house. Ryan and Bree flew down, and Steve and I drove to Texas. I love to drive and who wouldn’t want to spend 15 hours in the car each way?!

We spent the night in Waco and I had this delicious breakfast at Chip & Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Table the next morning. The bacon was amazing! If you plan to visit Waco, email me at Beth@StampingMom.com. We’ve been to Waco on almost every Texas visit over the last three years and I have lots of advice for you, if you want it.

Spice Village is 60 clothing & decor boutiques under one roof. I always find super cute and reasonably priced items at Spice Village in Waco.

I usually make homemade pie crust, but for these mini pies I used Pillsbury and it worked out really well. I got 4 single crust mini pies from each sheet of pie crust and made pumpkin and leaf embellishments with the extra dough.

Amy wanted the mini pumpkin pie.

Steve and Sean wanted mini pecan pies.

Ryan, Bree and I chose mini coconut cream pies. This pie is made with my dear friend, Donna’s, homemade pudding recipe. Everyone was happy with their mini pies. Sean made brisket on his smoker/grill and it was delicious! We all loved Amy’s specialty loaded mashed potatoes. I also made our family favorite, Corn Casserole. It was fun to celebrate Thanksgiving with our kids in Texas. Amy’s table and the entire house was decorated beautifully.

We also had fun going to Wurstfest and doing the polka. You can see those pictures and Sean in his lederhosen  here.

I will always love heat embossing. It just makes a card look like it couldn’t been made at home. You can see all the products I used at the bottom of this post.

Don’t forget to read all the way to the bottom of my post. I usually have a personal story there.

I’m part of the Festive Friday Design Team and this week’s challenge #FF0146 is Remembrance Day/Veteran’s Day which is November 11th.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about Remembrance Day/Veteran’s Day – at all! #festivefridaychallenge  I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item and join us. If you want help entering, please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com and I’d be happy to help you! Even if you’ve never entered a card challenge before, now is the time to start. It’s fun and it’s free! It will help inspire your creativity. Please join us! From the Inspo List I used red, black, and silhouette. Please hop along to all my Design Team friends below:

This is a beautiful tree from our early morning walk this morning.

I have trouble not taking pictures of all the pretty trees! When I was in Ireland, it was taking pictures of sheep and flowers.

We finally made it to Steve’s 60th birthday on Wednesday. We celebrated each day with a little gift or note for 60 days and then our trip to Ireland. The final celebration was dinner with Ryan and Bree at Jethro’s and some Culver’s frozen custard. Oh yea, they beat us bad at partner Cribbage and then we came back and won a game. Birthday is done and dusted and Steve is actually embracing being 60. Miss ion accomplished! 🙂

BackStage in Las Vegas was the best! It was fun getting the chance to get a picture with Sara Douglass, the Stampin’ Up CEO. She is super sweet!

Here’s the view from our window on the 19th floor! It was fun to wake up to this each morning.

By afternoon, here’s the view.

One of my favorite gifts from BackStage. It was fun to see friends, new and old. My roommate, Ginger, was delightful and is now stuck with me as a life long friend. Loved spending the weekend with your Ginger. 🙂

Stampin’ Up surprised us by taking us to the Beatles Love Cirque show at the Mirage. Everything was so beautiful! I would love to have these flowers sitting on my kitchen counter year round. 🙂

I love gymnastics and music and this show had it all. I would recommend it for anyone visiting Las Vegas. I have more pictures and stories from Las Vegas coming soon. 🙂
