I made some of these cards as Christmas, Birthday, New Year’s and Christmas thank you cards. Here’s the Christmas version.

Last night Abby and I were partners playing Cribbage against Steve and Ryan. After we beat them the first game, they wanted to play the best of three. After we won the second game they were just done. Girl Power!

What have you been up to? I’ve taken a deep breath after the last two crazy months. I’m starting to get ready for BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) which begins again next week.

This morning I put in a big order for the share products. I’m also cleaning out the Holiday catalog stamp sets, ribbon, etc. I used up the Holiday catalog DSP better than I ever have in the past. I love it when I buy something and able to use it all. 🙂 Hopefully I can finish reorganizing the Stamping Studio tomorrow.

When I was going through pictures today I found these. Here’s my Stamping Studio (formerly known as my Dining Room) before the construction of September 2016.

Here’s my new Stamping Studio in Nov 2016. Maya and Molly are pretty sure the pink fluffy dog bed is the most important part of the Stamping Studio. I stand right there to create projects and they are pretty happy just hanging out with me.

I bet you love to receive cards too. One of my new year’s resolutions is to actually send the cards I make. I give a lot of cards away as gift sets, but don’t send as many as I should.

The whole McCullough clan (24 people) are descending on West Des Moines tomorrow and will be here until Sunday. The presents are wrapped, the house is decorated, the menu is planned and the groceries are purchased. I do have some last minute cleaning and a little more food prep to do tomorrow. I wonder how much sleep we’ll get with 14 teenagers in the house for two nights?! The other eight adults will stay in a hotel while Steve and I have a slumber party with all the kids. Hopefully they’ll want to do some stamping and play some cards!

Seasonal Chums Pop Up Gift Card Holder

Happy Christmas Eve!

We are having another Stamp Camp on Saturday,January 27 and it’s going to be awesome! I will be very surprised if it doesn’t sell out. Please register soon if you’re interested.

Every Christmas I make Pop Up Gift Card Holders for my kid’s teachers. Since Keegan is my last kid in high school, I guess I’ll have to find some other group of people to make them for next year. A couple years ago, one of Abby’s high school teachers brought the gift card holder to our parent teacher conference in March. I was impressed he kept it from Dec to March. He was impressed that the gift card “popped up” when he opened it. He brought it to the conference to show me how it worked and how much he enjoyed it. I was amused that he cared enough to keep it, and that he wanted to show me how to worked, since I actually made it. Anyway, I decided if I can bring that much joy to a hard working high school teacher, I should make them every year. 🙂

Here’s this year’s version. Abby asked what she could do to help and I handed her 5 snowmen that needed colored. She was rather pleased, because my normal response when she offers to help, is to ask her to empty the dishwasher.

Ok, so Sean got home at 2am this morning from Seattle. I love it when everyone is home. Tonight I asked everyone to stay home for dinner and an after dinner card game. I made Ziti Cucina, my version of my favorite restaurant’s signature pasta dish. Everyone loves it which makes my heart happy. We then had a rousing game of hearts. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. I’m glad no one was here to witness the antics of my family. I thank God that He gave me a wonderful husband and four crazy awesome kids. I hope they stay friends for their entire lives. By the way, Steve won the game. 🙂

Thursday night we went to Hope Ames, the church Ryan attends at college. Ryan is a volunteer on the production team. It was fun to get to be at Danny Housholder’s first Christmas Eve service as a pastor. It was an amazing service and Danny gave an outstanding sermon. The production team was pretty impressive as well. (Good job, Ryan 🙂 I can’t wait until our huge Christmas Eve service tomorrow at Wells Fargo Arena.
