2019 Occasions Catalog Shares, Pop Up Gift Card Holders and Directions

It’s time for my 2019 Occasions Catalog Shares

Here’s what a few people had to say about past shares I’ve done:

“Beth, I just now had time to open my holiday share.  You did a wonderful job of separating all the paper and the ribbon and packaging everything. I know you spent a lot of time and effort.  Everything is so perfect, I can’t wait to start crafting.  Thanks again for the share. Donna”

“Beth, the paper share looks great. Thanks for all the careful labeling and packaging. I love all the papers. Also, the fast delivery. Thanks, Nancy”

Why participate in shares? Shares are an inexpensive way to sample the new Designer Series Papers, Ribbons, and Embellishments at a fraction of what it would cost you to purchase all of them yourself.   Customers and Demos alike love having a little bit of everything from the new catalog.  When you see that adorable card on Pinterest, you’ll be able to make it because you bought the “I want it all” share!

How Shares Work

  • Simply  EMAIL ME (Beth@StampingMom.com) to reserve your spot in a share. I will then ask you to send me the money via PayPal, or you may send a check.
  • Once I receive the products, I will cut, count, measure and package up your goodies pronto!
  • Your papers will be lovingly wrapped and identified to protect them; ribbons will be rolled; and embellishments will be placed into small plastic bags.  Your shares will be sent out via the US Postal Service.
  • Please note my paper shares are 6″ x 12″ for most designs.  A lot of people do 6″ x 6″, so you are getting twice as much paper with my shares.
  • You can choose a Paper Share or an I Want It All Share.

One of my favorite things to make is Pop Up Gift Card Holders.

Abby colored the snowman with Stampin’ Blends.  I used the new Dot to Dot Embossing Folder on the flap.

The Christmas tree is from the Seasonal Tags Framelits.  I used Silver Emboss Powder on the Merry Christmas.

The oval punch is optional.  What you really need is a slit cut big enough to hold your gift card which is typically 3-1/2″.

You can make the Pop Up Gift Card Holders in any size.  Here’s a bigger one I made for Steve’s Dad a couple years ago.

So I mentioned last week that I had a Surprise activity planned for Forced Family Fun during our Christmas break.  I got some emails asking, “What exactly is Forced Family Fun?”.  Well, typically when kids become teenagers they want to hang out with their friends or sit in their room alone on their electronics.  Years ago, Steve and I came up with Forced Family Fun to alleviate this problem.  We would intentionally plan activities with required participation.  Sometimes we play cards or board games, have a special dinner, go for a hike or mini golfing, etc.  Tonight we went to church, dinner and then our Surprise Forced Family Fun was to go to an Escape Room.  We had one hour to do puzzles and clues and figure out how to escape from a locked room.  It takes a lot of team work and cooperation.  We did the Informant Escape Room in West Des Moines.  It was a blast!  We escaped in 53 minutes!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

I decided to make a Sparkle & Shine card since it’s one of the options for Festive Friday this week.  Abby got home from college today and helped me finish this card.  She loved it so much, she wants it for her birthday card in February. Ever since Abby was little, I often called her, “Abby Dazzle,” so a Sparkle & Shine card is very appropriate for her.  It’s so pretty in real life. 🙂  I’m super excited to have Abby home for a whole month over break.  Can’t wait for our two college boys, Ryan and Keegan, to get home tomorrow.  Sean will get here next Friday and stay for two weeks.  The McCullough family will be having all the fun we can think of while we have a full nest. 🙂  I’ve thought of one activity for “Forced Family Fun, ” that we’ve never done before.  I can’t tell you about it until after we do it, because the two kids who love me the most read this blog and it would ruin the surprise. (Just kidding, about them loving me the most) 🙂

Are you wondering how I did the presents?  It’s an awesome new die, Detailed Birthday Edgelits Dies on page 17 of the new 2019 Occasions catalog.   Another one of my favorite new things is the Rectangle Stitched Framelits on page 28.  I believe every crafter needs these! Can you see the stitching on the edge of the black foil?  What about the gorgeous Lovely Lipstick Foils Sheets?  They are on page 12 of the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  For each order of $50 you can choose the Foil 12″ x 12″ Sheets and get 4 sheets of Lovely Lipstick and 4 sheets of Grapefruit Grove for free.  Sale-A-Bration will be Jan 3- March 31, 2019.

I’m sending catalogs to my customers tomorrow.  If you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demo, please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com and I’ll send you the new catalogs.  I’m also doing “shares” again in January of the new paper, ribbon and accessories.  I’ll have the details about the shares soon.

After many weeks of traveling, having several different groups of out of town guests, hosting two Stamping Christmas parties, etc, I finally played with some of my new goodies!  I had a fun filled couple months, but it felt so good to be home alone yesterday with my pups, Christmas music playing, and stamping again in my happy place!

I had so much fun making this fudge box for my sweet friend Lindsay! Lindsay has been our family hair stylist for all six of us for many years.  It’s crazy, but my oldest son, Sean, who lives in Seattle, still gets his hair cut whenever he’s back in Iowa because no one is as awesome as Lindsay.  Happy Birthday, Lindsay!  When I walked in her salon yesterday with the box she said, “There better be fudge in that box, calories don’t count on your birthday!”  Lots of people know Steve makes several batches of fudge between Thanksgiving and New Years.  Every year I end up tasting way too much fudge as I cut and package it.  This year I’ve decided it’s best for me to not even taste it.  So far so good.  It would probably be easier to wear a nose plug when I cut it, because let me tell you, it smells delicious and I love Steve’s fudge!  Now that I’ve told you, I want you all to help keep me accountable and ask me if I’ve had any fudge yet. 🙂

So what do you think of the Piece of Cake stamp set and Cake Builder Punch?  I hope it’s going on your “wish list!”

I have pictures from OnStage, my Stamping Christmas parties and more, so please stop by again.  I’m planning to get caught up this week before my college kids start arriving home on Wednesday.

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
