Marcelyn Churchill is my friend, Stamping Joy team member, fellow BSFer (Bible Study Fellowship) and prolific crafter. She doesn’t have a blog, so I share some of her creations on most Mondays.
Did you see Marcelyn did her very first Facebook Live on my Stamping Mom Facebook page last Wednesday? She did a great job showing how to make these fun boxes. See the video of her Facebook Live here.
This beautiful new Designer Series Paper is called Perennial Essence. It reminds me of a Monet painting.
Marcelyn added the adorable SAB frogs to this box.
I love giving 3″ x 3″ cards in these cute wood crates!
There are so many adorable cards and gifts you can make with these fun Wood Crate Framelits.
Guess what else I make with the Wood Crate Framelits? Baby Onesie cards! Lots and lots of them!
I sure hope you’re now thinking, “How do I make these Baby Onesie cards?” Well you’re in luck. Awhile back I made a video. See the video on my YouTube channel here.
I would love it if you would subscribe and leave a comment on my video. Speaking of videos, did you know I’ve been doing a Facebook Live every Wednesday at noon? Please go to my Stamping Mom Facebook page here.
You can click on “Videos” on the left side. If you’re trying to watch FB Live on a Wednesday at noon and I’m not there when you get there, just keep refreshing the page.
So are you convinced to get the $30 Wood Crate Framelits? I sure hope so. You can buy them here on my online store.
You can also order Baby Onesie cards from me already made and ready to go. I do custom orders and also sell cards of all types from my Stamping Studio. If you live in the Des Moines area, send me an email at Beth@StampingMom.com
I do one-on-one crafting sessions, group card making classes and Ladies Night Out card making. Please send me an email and we’ll set something up.
What are you doing for Mother’s Day weekend? I’m blessed to have all my kids home this weekend except for Sean, who lives in Seattle. I’m sure he will be calling me, however. 🙂
Saturday morning Steve and I went on a bike ride with our Des Moines Cycle Club friends and had breakfast at the Redfield American Legion. RAGBRAI ( RAGBRAI is the annual bike ride across Iowa that Steve, his brothers and I always ride a couple days together) is going through Redfield this year and one of the gals asked us what they should make to sell to the bikers? Homemade pie is what many of the RAGBRAI riders want the most!
Speaking of homemade pie, I hosted my end of the year fellowship for my Bible Study Fellowship group at my house on Tuesday and Marlene made yummy homemade cherry pie, while Bailey made awesome homemade raspberry pie. Helen is originally from Australia and made a wonderful authentic Australian dessert. We sure were spoiled! Everyone brought lots of yummy food and I made chicken salad and iced tea. Mickell loved the Iced Tea! Every time I make Iced Tea someone wants to know my secret. Here it is, the Mr Coffee Iced Tea maker for less than $20. I use one family Luzianne tea bag and three tea bags of Ginger Peach Tea.
Here’s some pictures of my BSF group whom I love, the table beforehand and the prayer journals I made for each of them.
My dining room table is made for 12, so I added a little table on the end to squeeze in 16. It was such a blessing to have our entire group together for the last day! If you want to sign up for Acts next year or learn more about Bible Study Fellowship click here.
In the center are two of my live African Violets. I love growing African Violets, but have never thought before to put them on the table for a luncheon.
I printed the “Be Strong and Courageous Joshua 1:9” on the computer and the then made the covers and matched them to the Ink Joy gel pens. I love these pens. You can get them here.
I hope you had a fabulous Mother’s Day weekend! Please come back tomorrow for Marcelyn Monday.
Welcome to the Pals’ May Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects with “More Than One Score.” You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I love making 3-D projects, so the hardest thing was deciding which project to share with you today!
Here’s a close up of the box. This box is the correct size to gift Tic Tac Mints, Tic Tac Gum or any kind of small gift or treat.

Measurements
Cut 4-1/2” x 6″ Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock for box
Cut 3/4″ x 6-1/2″ Mango Melody Cardstock for belly band
Scraps of Poppy Parade, Mango Melody and Whisper White Cardstock
Instructions
Score the short side of the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock at 3/4″ and 3-3/4″.
Score the long side of the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock at 1″, 1-3/4″, 3-1/2″ and 4-1/4″. Burnish all the score lines.
Cut away the top two squares on the right and left. See picture below where it says “Remove”.
Cut on score line between B, D, and F, and A,C. and E. Leave the E and F tabs whole, but cut slivers out of sides of A, B, C and D. This makes the box go together easier.
Corner Round the top two corners with the Detailed Trio Punch.
Put adhesive on tabs E and F. Put adhesive on back side of tabs C and D.
Attach adhesive side of Tab C to front side of Tab A. Attach adhesive side of Tab D to front side of Tab B.
Attach adhesive side of Tab E to back side of Tab A. Attach adhesive side of Tab F to back side of Tab B.
Attach glue dot or velcro dot to flap and fold down. If you would like to tuck the flap instead, cut off 1/2″ of the top and corner round the top edges again. For this box I did cut the 1/2″ off after doing all the cutting and scoring.
Cut the layering circles including the smallest White Stitched Circle for the Bird.
Stamp the Bird from the Hey Love stamp set with Memento ink and color with Stampin’ Blends.
Wrap the belly band around the box and secure with adhesive.
Assemble the card as shown in the picture. Email me with questions at Beth@StampingMom.com
The bird image is from the Hey Love stamp set retiring on June 3, 2019. The Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock is retiring and only available as of now, in the In Color 12″ x 12″ Cardstock. The Dot to Dot Textured Embossing Folder has a very fun look and you need to get it before it retires at the end of the month.
I couldn’t resist making a coordinating card using the same supplies.
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 12, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share their “Anything with Wings” projects. Don’t miss the fun!
