Measurements

  • The colors I used are Orchid Oasis, Mango Melody, Parakeet Party, Polished Pink, and Smoky Slate.
  • Cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ colored CS scored at 4-1/4″. Cut 3-3/4″ off the upper right hand corner in both directions. See picture below.
  • Cut and adhere 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White CS inside the card.
  • Cut 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ DSP and then cut diagonally. Adhere the upper right triangle inside the card on top of the Basic White. Adhere the lower left triangle on the front of the card.
  • Cut 3/4″ x 4-1/4″ CS and adhere near the bottom on the front of the card. Cut and layer a 1/2″ x 4-1/4″ CS on top of the first CS layer.
  • Run a scrap of colored CS through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (SCEM) with the largest Stylish Shapes circle die. Adhere to card front being careful not to put glue in the upper right hand corner so you don’t glue your card shut. 🙂
  • Stamp the cat image on a scrap of Basic White CS with Black Momento ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (SCEM) with the second largest Stylish Shapes circle die. Pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to larger circle die cut.

Oh, this kitty and card are ready to party! Love the fun fold, too! It really shows how fun folds make any card extra special and it doesn’t need to be complicated – my kind of fun fold! Thanks for joining the blog hop this month!

Just watched the replay. Such a fun card. I was wondering why you had not put the finishing strips on there and then Steve pointed that out! You could easily put the Happy birthday on the strip on the front as well. Going to try this. I hope to get the new trimmer soon. I have the old SU one and on my last blade for it. Love the card even though I am totally a dog person.

Great minds use the same set! I love your card. That is a favorite new fold that I’ve used lately. The cat cake makes it even better.
