Before Abby left for camp, she was telling me how her brothers like to “borrow” her headphones, cell phone charger etc. I’m sure they had the best intentions to return them… but somehow they never got around to it. I have no doubt this happens a lot at our house. Does it happen at yours? Well, I thought of a solution. I let her pick out some coordinating Stampin’ Up! washi tape and I “dolled” up her various cords and chargers. I even put an “Abby” flag on her headphones. As you can see all the cords say “Abby” and then also say what the charger is used for. This would actually be very useful for me too. Not that mine get “borrowed” as much, but more so because I forget what cord goes with what.
While I had the washi tape out, I decided Abby also needed a bookmark for camp. In this picture you can see how cute the Washi tape is. Abby is an archer and I think it helped sway her decision for this particular Washi tape.
I found a used envelope and cut off the corner and attached the Washi tape. Easiest thing ever, plus I recycled a bit.
Here’s Molly sitting on Abby’s things the morning she was leaving for camp. I’m not sure if Molly wanted to go with Abby or if she thought sitting there would make it so Abby couldn’t leave. I’m so glad our pups love us as much as we love them!
Have a great weekend!
Blessings,
Beth 🙂
Molly is so CUTE! I’ve seen this tip before using washi tape to help identify whose charger, ear buds, etc belong to who. It’s great seeing this as a reminder . . . now I just need to order some wash tape! LOL!
Excellent ideas. I’ve got 50 rolls of washi tape–unfortunately that’s not an exageration!! So these ideas will help me put some to good use!
Thanks
I bought Washi tape back when it first came out (before SU) and I use it on cords especially phone and computer cords that way there is no fighting over them.
Washi tape as identifiers is an excellent idea. Could be color coded for each individual.
I like the bookmark. Easy to make and having more than one would help if lost… especially for teens and for camp.
