We’ve been blessed to have our oldest son and his bride staying with us for three weeks. They drove up for a family wedding on September 10. Because they both work from home, they decided to escape the heat of Texas and stay for a few weeks. Sean’s birthday was Saturday, so Amy had a birthday party for him during the Iowa State football game. It was a fun day with family and friends. We had walking tacos and his favorite childhood birthday cake, a cookie cake from the Great American Cookie Company.
Grandma Olson also made his favorite chocolate chip cookies. Amy and I made Sean a “magic slider” birthday card. We learned how to make this card from Tami White. It looks like an empty bottle and then fills with whiskey when you pull the tab. If you want to see a really easy way to make this card, please watch our video here. This magic slider card can be used to add color to a Christmas tree or whatever object you use, it’s not just for whiskey bottles! 🙂
