Bird’s Eye View Notecards

God made almost 10,000 different species of birds in every color of the rainbow, so I used a lot of colors on my bird notecards!

I am participating in Bruno and Kylie’s World Wide Training Group and am excited to be part of their monthly Blog Hop. The Blog Hop focuses on the Thank You cards that we are sending to our customers.
I started making these Bird’s Eye View notecards and I was having so much fun coloring them that I just kept going. These cards would be great to send to customers or for giving a gift of a set of notecards.

Many of my friends and I have “readers” eye glasses in fun colors, so I used clear embossing powder to make the bird’s eye glasses cute and shiny.

Sean and Amy got here on Friday afternoon and we’ve had lots of games of Euchre and lots of laughter. They will be here for two weeks, partially to escape the heat of Texas. Until today, it was super hot and humid so their plans to escape the heat might not be working out as intended. They decided to come in August so Amy could experience her first-ever State Fair. The Iowa State Fair is one of the biggest and best in the nation.

Amy was amazed by the size of this prize winning, 1,221 lb pumpkin! (half a metric ton I believe)
The Iowa State Fair also has all kinds of food on a stick and fried food. Here’s Amy with a brisket, mac & cheese grilled cheese sandwich. I don’t usually try the unusual food but I must admit, Steve and I split one of these and it was quite tasty!

I really enjoyed watching the talent show at the fair, too. There are so many things to do at the Iowa State Fair! We will be there another time next week. Sean and Amy going to the fair two more times while they are here. Needless, to say, Amy is a fan of the Iowa State Fair!
