Piano Day
Did you know March 29th is the 88th day of 2025? Me neither! At least not until I did some research on Piano Day. Piano Day, an annual celebration of the piano, is the 88th day of the year, in recognition of the 88 keys on a standard piano. To be honest, I was a piano student for several years and I didn’t even remember the piano had 88 keys. I actually enjoy playing the piano, but I only have one song that is still memorized, the right hand to “The Entertainer.” I play it with James sitting on my lap everyday that I babysit him. So far he hasn’t complained about me playing the same song over and over again. He sits and listens and then when I tell him it’s his turn, he plays the keys.
All four of my kids took several years of piano lessons and we still have my childhood piano in our home. Whenever Sean, our oldest, is visiting from Texas he always sits down and plays the piano. This makes my heart happy to listen to him play.
During Covid I started an online piano class. I really should get back to that because it does bring me joy. Please leave me a comment and tell me your piano stories. 🙂
