The Texture Chic Designer Series Paper (DSP) is so pretty and makes an elegant thank you card!
Here’s a picture of all the pieces I used to put this card together. I recently did a Fun Fold presentation for Mary Fish’s team. I talked about the templates I make for fun folds, how to store them so you can find them and use them time and again, why fun folds are so much fun to make, how to add a strip to your Stampin’ Up Trimmer to make it fun fold friendly and then we made this Double Step template and card together.

I enjoyed making this fun fold birthday card for someone special! The pup with the balloons tied to her tail has a red bow, so this is Maya, our oldest dog who always wears a red collar and leash. The pup leaving the paw prints in her wake, is Molly, our youngest dog, who always wears a purple collar and leash. The pups wear different colors because they look so much alike. It’s the only way people at Assisted Living and Memory Care could tell them apart.
It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge! It’s fun being a designer for Festive Friday and this week’s challenge #FF0117 is World Alzheimer’s Day which is September 21st. We’ve had Alzheimer’s or Dementia affect our family. It seems most people have. Before Covid began, my two youngest kids and I would visit the Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities every other week with our the Therapy Pups. Many of the Memory Care patients don’t talk much, but would open up to us and tell us about their childhood dogs. We loved hearing their stories and being a bright spot in their day.

Last week we had a huge hail storm. Unfortunately we need a new roof and a lot of our flowers and plants were destroyed. You can see from our patio box of lawn furniture cushions how big the hail was by the huge holes it created. We actually still had piles of hail two days later.

It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge! It’s fun being a designer for Festive Friday and this week’s challenge #FF0103 is National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day which is March 1st.
I have always loved peanut butter! Last year I switched to Natural Peanut Butter which is just roasted organic peanuts and sea salt. It’s better for me and I really like it! You should try it! The cookies on my card are peanut butter chocolate chip. 🙂

From the Inspo List I used baked goods, brown, texture, stripes and circles.
Here’s what I used to make this card:
4-1/4″ x 11″ Polished Pink Cardstock (CS)
4″ x 5-1/4″ Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP (Early Espresso) cut with 4th largest Stitched Rectangle die
Early Espresso CS cut with 5th largest Stitched Rectangle die
Basic White cut with 6th largest Stitched Rectangle die
Crumb Cake CS cookies stamped with Early Espresso chocolate chips, textured with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and sprinkled with Wink of Stella- the sparkle doesn’t show up in the picture, but it’s really pretty in real life!

Tuesday April 19th is deadline to sign up for our next Stamp Camp that will be on April 29 and 30th. When you sign up, you’ll receive a card kit to make 12 projects with written and video directions. You’ll also get a weekend of fun and 12 more live videos with 12 different projects for a total of 24 projects all using the Symbols of Fortune Suite.
