These Party Puffins are celebrating a birthday today and so am I! I am 58 today, but I feel younger than I imagined 58 to be. 🙂 Here’s a video showing how to make this card.
Have I mentioned how much I love this card? It’s made with Tahitian Tide, my favorite new In Color. (You can get the new In Colors starting May 3rd or join my Stamping Mom’s Joy Team and get yours today!) It’s an easy fun fold and I love making fun folds! Do you see the little popped up fish that hold the Puffin folds in place? They even have little pearl bubbles coming out of their mouths 🙂 The party hat puffin is stepping off the ice flow into the water. Yep, the ice flow is made with the third smallest Layering Diorama. Did you notice the front puffin is holding up the Happy Birthday sign? It’s on a Window Sheet strip. Everything about this card makes me smile.
The back puffin is jumping back on to the ice. I was going to write my note on the ice flow, but instead I’m going to put another white piece on the back of the card. As you can tell I had a lot of fun making this card. The card is 5-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ I made it a 1/4″ smaller so the measurements would be easier to divide into the three flaps which are each 1-3/4″. Here’s a picture of the template below. I usually make a template so I can easily make a card again in the future.
