Watermelon Wonder Flower

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July.  This month we are excited to show off the new 2015 – 2017 Stampin’ Up! In Colors, namely, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. The In Color products include card stock, designer series paper, ribbon and other embellishments.  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Brian King at Stamp with Brian, number 7 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush are my favorite new In Colors.

I used the In Color DSP Stacks for the flower and the insert on the envelope.

The sentiment and flower stem came from Tin of Cards stamp set.  A snippet of 1″ Dotted Lace Trim was stapled on for the leaves.  Can you guess where I got the center of the flower?

I used White Emboss Powder and a stamp from Six-Sided Sampler.  I punched it out with the 7/8″ scallop circle punch.

My Dad just got out of the hospital Sunday, after having open heart double bypass surgery and a heart valve replacement a week ago. Today he went back to the hospital after suffering a minor stroke.  I made this card for my Dad tonight to help cheer him up.  Making cards always cheers me up to!

Last week I posted a “Coaster Calendar plus Post it Notes” that I made in February, with products that are now retired. Here’s the post and also a YouTube video with directions on how to make the Coaster Calendar. So many people liked it, that I decided to make some new ones with current product from the 2015-16 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.  The paper is from the Cherry on Top DSP Stack.  The new In Color 5/8″ Striped Cotton Ribbon looks adorable on these calendars. I already gave this one away today to my wonderful friend and neighbor, PJ.  It would be fun to get a picture of this sitting on your desk at work, PJ. 🙂

Here’s another version.  My sweet daughter has already claimed this one.  These calendars are so much fun to make and so cute!  Let me know if you have any questions.

Coaster Calendar plus Post it Notes

Post it note calendarPostifNoteCalendar-2

I’ve seen lots of Stampin’ Up! coaster calendars and I’ve seen coaster Post It note holders, but I’ve never seen them combined into one.  I thought it would be great to set on your desk at work, so I made this for one of my friends.

Here’s the side view.  I used calendars from Vippies.  4 x 4 square coaster board, binder clip, Stampin’ Up! DSP and ribbon.  I actually made this in February 2015 when the Flashback DSP was current.  I found the pictures again while cleaning up my computer.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
