THEME – Anything crafty with current SU products
The butterflies on these cards look almost like stained glass. Here’s how to do the Stained Glass Technique-Stamp with Versamark on Vellum Cardstock, heat emboss with the embossing powder of your choice. Color the backside with markers or Blends.
Stamps: Beautiful Day |
Paper: Vellum cardstock, Basic Black, Berry Burst, Peekaboo Peach, Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon- Peekaboo Peach and Berry Burst |
Ink: VersaMark |
Accessories: Scattered Sequins embossing folder, Fluttering embossing folder, Blends- All Dark: Pumpkin pie, Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Rich Razzleberry |
Techniques: heat embossing, fussy cutting, Stained Glass Technique |
Yep, I used the Stained Glass Technique.
Here you can see I colored with Blends on the back side of the butterflies. It looks messy here, but after I fussy cut them and turned them over, they are beautiful!
Here’s a pile of the stained glass butterflies.
My card was cased from this beautiful swap card above.
Head over to Use Your Stuff Challenge this week and enter your Vellum project.
You can see all the products I used at the very bottom of this post.
