Welcome to our monthly Creativity Abounds Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world that are coming together to share our creative ideas with you.  We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can Inspire you to make creations of your own.

I’ve been listening to the opinions of the many Stampin’ Up demos and customers and it seems that the new In Color, “Wild Wheat” is their least favorite new In Color because of it’s resemblance to baby poop. Well, because I want all the colors to be loved equally ( we all love our children equally, right?) I decided to challenge myself to make a beautiful card using the new Wild Wheat color to help it become more popular. I like to think of Wild Wheat as a coordinating color, not the main event.

Wild Wheat doesn’t look half bad when paired with the beautiful turquoise color of Pretty Peacock. So that’s my advice to you…use it sparingly and pair it with a beautiful color!

Daisies are one of my most FAVS so naturally I bought the entire suite collection! Great job! Love your card Beth! I actually like the Wild Wheat In Color and it certainly pairs nicely with Pretty Peacock. 🙂

Love it! I have had the same discussion about Wild Wheat and for now a little bit goes a long way.

I have not played with the new colors yet. So, I don’t have a good read on the wild wheat yet to see if I like it. I sure like the card you made though. Has sort of a gold vibe sometimes and sometimes a greenish cast to me. Hope to play soon.

Lovely card Beth! I’ve been struggling with the new In Colors, so I appreciate you sharing how you used Wild Wheat as an accent to make the other colors pop.

I agree with you – Wild Wheat works really well as an accent colour. It brings gold tones into your card

That’s a really pretty card, Beth. Wild Wheat will grow on people, I think.
