My gardens are doing pretty well this year. I can’t express how much I enjoy going out each morning to see what I can pick, what needs watered, and how many weeds sprang up overnight. I’ve always thought the time in the sunshine was making me happy. Recently I ran across a study that says the dirt is also a mood enhancer. “Exposure to friendly soil bacteria could improve mood by boosting the immune system just as effectively as antidepressant drugs, a new study suggests.” Well, sunshine, dirt, eating cherry tomatoes that taste like candy, whatever it is… it really makes me enjoy my gardens!
Very pretty card, Beth, and perfect for a variety of occasions–or a friendly hello.
I love your card, Beth! What a pretty color combo, too! You did a great job with the Creating Pretty Cards Sketch #74!
I used to wear gloves when I worked in the garden, then I figured out it’s good to play in the dirt and get dirt under my fingernails!
We have a lot in common Mary Ann! Thanks for the sweet comment!
I am the happiest when I am playing with my garden dirt & then coming in doors and playing
with my stamps and ink. (aka known as my Rubber Room.)
I agree with you about the Garden! Nothing is healthier than playing in the dirt!
