I had a friend who wanted a wedding card in the style of Leanne Ford. First I had to figure out who Leanne Ford is… so I looked her up and found she has collections at Crate & Barrel and Target. A lot of her items are Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla and clean and simple. My favorite card to make is Bermuda Bay and Magenta Madness, bright and happy cards, so I knew I need to scale it back a bit.
I did all of these with Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and retired Ivory cardstock. Some of the hearts are from the Heart Punch Pack and others from the Stitched Be Mine dies.
The new Wrapped in Texture embossing folder is how I added texture to the hearts and then I sponged a splatter of Crumb Cake on them.
I was looking at my niece’s wedding registry and she had many items that also looked like the style of Leanne Ford. Maybe if I give her one of these cards, she’ll think I’m totally on top of the fashion trend!
