Endless Birthday Wishes

September 15, 2014

endless birthday wishes

On my husband’s side of the family we have nine nieces and nephews, and all their birthdays happen between August 30 and December 4. When I saw the Mojo Monday sketch, I knew it was the perfect sketch for another birthday card.

I always like to add a matching envelope.  It makes getting mail so much more fun.

Christmas Box directions

Here’s the Christmas Box I posted yesterday.  I got the box directions several years ago from Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho.  The box is made with one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock.  Cut two pieces- piece A is 10 1/2 x 5 1/4 and piece B is 10 x 3 1/8.

Score piece A in the landscape view at 1/2, 1, 9 1/2 and 10. Score piece A in the portrait view at 1/2, 1, 4 1/4, 4 3/4. See picture to cut the corners and make flaps. Attach 10 small pieces of sticky strip as shown in the picture. Use a bone folder to crease all the score lines.photo 1 (3)

Score piece B in the landscape view at 3 1/4, 3 3/4, 4 1/4, 5 3/4, 6 1/4, 6 3/4. Crease on score lines to create “mountains” separating the candy bars from the cards and envelopes.photo 2 (4)photo 3 (3)

The lid is made with one Transparancy sheet cut at 8 1/2 x 8 3/8. Score at 1/2, 3 13/16, 4 6/16, 7 11/16.  Secure the lid with sticky strip.

Decorate your box with four cute 3 x 3 cards and envelopes, candy and ribbon!  If you make a Christmas Box, please post a picture here.  Thanks!

My favorite items from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog include the All Is Calm Specialty DSP (135823),Tree Punch (135859), and Lucky Stars Embossing Folder  (135817) . I used all of these to make my Christmas Gift Box- Four 3×3 Cards with envelopes and three  wrapped Hershey Nugget candy bars. This is one of my favorite gifts to give my kid’s teachers.  Please stop by again tomorrow and I’ll give you the directions to make the box.
