Stampin’ Up

#imbringingbirthdaysback and 101st Birthday!

Ellen Lemke is turning 101!  Ellen is a friend of a friend.  Here’s a card made by my friend and customer, Lynn.

StampinUp 101 birthday card made by Lynn Tague.

I love this card and I know Ellen will also.  Do you see how Lynn personalized it with her name? If you have time, would you like to send Ellen a card?  Here’s her address:

Ellen Lemke

PO Box 83

Bedford, Ia

We recently sent cards to Shannon West from Stampin’ Up! who started the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement.

Shannon's birthday

Shannon has put a smile on so many faces this year by sending them birthday cards, I’m so happy we were able to help put a smile on her face too.  Shannon received hundreds of cards!  Mine is in there somewhere.  Thanks to those of you who also sent her a card!

Who are you going to send a homemade card to today and put a smile on their face?

Keegan does not know the results of any of his auditions yet.  Tomorrow is the jazz choir audition.

Abby is thrilled to be done with  the AP tests.  These are college courses she’s taking as a high school student.

In the last week, we spent three days in Chicago, I hosted 13 of my BSF ladies for lunch, had two stamping classes and have finished most of my gardens. I have pictures and stories I’ll be sharing all week.  This is why there hasn’t been many blog posts lately.

Ryan just spent a week with Sean in Seattle and I’m picking him up at the airport tomorrow morning.  It’s good to have brother bonding.  I’m not sure what all they did, but I know Sean convinced Ryan to start a retirement fund.  What a good brother!  Every 20 year old needs a brother encouraging him to save for his future!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

May Pal’s Blog Hop

2016badge-watermelon

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for May 2016.  We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects that are “stepped up” by using textures or fun techniques. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Remarkable You is such a beautiful stamp set and I was so happy to see it in the new catalog! I chose to use Gold Emboss Powder on water color paper and then splatter on Wink of Stella Gold.

I used Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and  Cucumber Crush reinkers.   My flowers were made with a combination of regular watercoloring and the Floating Reinker Technique.  I believe Sandi MacIver is the originator of the Floating Reinker Technique.

So what do you do with the flowers where the ink runs outside the lines?  Cut out the flower and make another card. 🙂

I didn’t want to waste the Gold Foil paper, so I cut out ovals and again made more cards.

I made this card for our niece who is celebrating her Bat Mitzvah soon.  I used the sketch from Global Design Project #GDP034

I think the black embossed letters look striking on the Melon Mambo watercolor.

I received this birthday card from Ruth. See more card and gift ideas at www.StampingMom.com #StampingMom

I received another beautiful birthday card in the mail.  This one came all the way from Australia!  I’ve met and gotten to know Ruth through my blog.  She is also in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and a stamper.  I have received several sweet emails from Ruth and I am so happy to have a new friend in Australia.  Please pray for her new baby grandson, Max, for God’s protection and a full recovery.  He was born this week with some breathing difficulties and is in the NICU.  Thanks again for the sweet card Ruth!

When I started this blog I had no idea I would get to meet people from all over.  It truly is a blessing!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
