Marcelyn Monday and Use Your Stuff Challenge

Before we get to Marcelyn Monday, I have an entry for my Design Team for Use Your Stuff Challenge.

The challenge is Twinkle, Twinkle- Use something sparkly on your project. Well if you want sparkle, the Painted with Love Suite in the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog is for you. I used the sparkly Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), sparkly Gold Glitter Flakes for inside the “shaker” card and sparkly Love Mini Tinsel Trim! I love this card Marcelyn made this week. Yes, she did have to put the “puzzle pieces” together to fill all the Cherry Cobbler pieces into the Rose Garden framelit.

There are so many different ways to make gorgeous cards with the Rose Wonder stamp set and coordinating Rose Garden Thinlits Dies. Above you can see heat embossing on Vellum Cardstock and then coloring with markers.

The star of this card is the framelit pieces with the images behind painted with reinkers and an Aqua Painter.

This is made with a retired Stampin’ Up! set called Grateful Garden.

Grown with Love is a darling set in the Annual catalog.

Marcelyn can I please borrow this set? I need to make this box!

Can you see they inked up the stamp with Crumb Cake and then used the Calypso Coral and Old Olive markers to color a few flowers and leaves. I love having the markers to go with all the Stampin’ Up ink pads.

I just sent Abby on her way back to college. We had a wonderful birthday weekend celebrating her 19th birthday. Her brothers were huge fans of her choice to go to Latin King for dinner yesterday before church. We also got to have brunch with my parents this morning. If only Sean had been home, I would’ve had a “full nest.” This is the first time she is driving herself back to college. She came back in the house after I thought she had left, I was so happy to be able to hug my sweet daughter one more time!

Stampin Up Sure Do Love You Valentines

My sweet Abby is almost a Valentine baby. She will be turning 19 on Friday! You’re probably not surprised that I’ll be on my way later this week to pick her up at college and bring her home for her birthday weekend! Abby’s favorite colors are Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Black. I threw in some Lemon Lime Twist because I thought she’d like it.

I love this card because I know Abby will leave it on her desk and be reminded that God made her amazing! I also have a secret spot to write a mushy note about how much I love my only daughter, but no one will see it except for Abby 🙂

Did you notice the “amazing” framelit? It’s a free SAB item along with “celebrate” and “YOU” with a $100 order. This set will also be in the new annual catalog which begins June 1, 2018. I think all stampers should get it now for free rather than paying for it starting this summer.

OK, so Steve’s favorite colors are not Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry, but I really like the card I made for him.

This was also one of the cards that everyone who came to our Cabin Fever Stamp Camp made.

Are you wondering about my boys? I love them a lot too, but they don’t seem to care so much about getting cards from me. The three boys want Reese’s Peanut Butter Hearts. These are my classic Reese’s gift boxes which each contain two Reese’s hearts.

I made this Eclipse Valentine at my Joy Team meeting last week! Marcelyn and Pat were showing us how to do this by popping the letters up on Fun Foam.

Jean and Allison came over to stamp this weekend. Allison made some candy treats for me to share with my BSF group. She used the Striped Heart from the Heart Happiness set and cut them out with the Sweet and Sassy Framelits.

Allison brought this adorable Valentine over to show me.

Jean brought over this stunning star card. She used two sets of slits instead of just one. What a fun afternoon with Jean and Allison!

Stampin Up’s Marcelyn Monday

These Valentine Lots to Love Boxes are adorable! These are great for giving candy, jewelry, or notecards.
