Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because this month’s theme is “Art from the Heart” and we think you’re going to love it! You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
For many papercrafters, having someone “CASE” their card and give them credit is the highest form of compliment. Well, I loved the card shown below made by Mary Fish, my upline and leader of the Stampin’ Pretty Pals community.
I ended up making many versions of Mary’s card.
First I made the Pool Party version of the card, almost exactly like Mary’s. I used this for a private class in my Stamping Studio. Everyone loved it! Then I wanted to make more for a card swap, but I was running out of the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper (DSP), so I switched to the Flirty Flamingo version with the From My Heart Specialty DSP. I made it again with a Real Red card base and ran the Flirty Flamingo through the Big Shot with the Scripty embossing folder. The swappers liked this version, so I used it again for two more classes I had.
Here’s some of my swap cards. You can click here for a free PDF of supplies and directions to make this card.
Then I tipped the card on its side and went back to the Pool Party and the Pleased As Punch DSP, but I kept the Scripty embossing folder.
It was so much fun starting with Mary’s awesome card and making so many different versions of it for my classes and swaps. I have one more version of this card that will show up on my blog soon. Thanks Mary for letting me CASE your sweet card! 🙂 Happy Valentine’s Day!
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 11th, for our “Critter Card” blog hop when our Design Team showcase projects with animals, birds, butterflies or insects. Don’t miss the fun!
