Touches of Texture

StampinUp Touches of Texture thank you card and set of note cards made by demo Robin Myren

I told you Robin Myren stopped by last month to stamp with me.  We had a great time!   Well, during my Paper Pumpkin class recently, the mailman came and for some reason I decided to run out and get the mail.  In the mailbox was a Paper Pumpkin box, which threw me for a loop, because I had already received my Paper Pumpkin for the month.  I opened it up and inside was this gorgeous thank you card and note card set from Robin!  Wow Robin!  I LOVE this thank you card and note card set!  So did the ladies at my Paper Pumpkin class.  They loved these so much, they insisted we have a class and make these cards.

Robin stamped everything in black and  colored in the flowers with a blender pen.  Wouldn’t you love to receive this sweet card in the mail?!

Look at all the pretty colors she used.  Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Sweet Sugarplum, Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette.  Can you see the tiny pearls in the center of the flowers?

What a lovely and thoughtful gift.  Sometimes when we CASE cards ( Copy and Share Everything) we tweak it and make it our own.  In this case I want to make cards exactly like Robin did!  Thanks Robin for the beautiful cards and for being my sweet stamping friend.

Anyone who lives or visits the Des Moines area and wants to come to a class and make these cards, please leave a comment or send me an email to Beth@StampingMom.com

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

Flower Shop Thank you

Guess what?  This card was chosen as a Pals Paper Arts pick of the week!  Thanks so much to the PPA design team for choosing my card!

Yeah! I’m back!!!!  I’ve been to New York City, Okoboji, and Kansas City all in the last two weeks. It’s time for me to stay home for awhile.  My puppies missed me and my gardens and stamping have been suffering.  I’ve also missed sleeping in my own bed.  There’s no place like home!

With all the fun things in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog, don’t forget to use the awesome stamps that have been around for awhile.  This flower from the Flower Shop stamp set is one of my favorites because of it’s whimsical look.  I also love that I can punch it out with the Pansy punch.

Superman did his second triathlon of the season today.  He did awesome!

steve-swim

They swam 1/2 mile.  These blue swim cap guys are the 40 and over men.  There were five other groups that started their swim in staggered heats.  Elite men, elite women, under 40 men, under 40 women and over 40 women.

steve-bike June 26,2016

Biked 16 miles.  Biggest obstacle was that his iPhone holder fell off his bike three times.  He lost about 5 minutes in total retrieving it.  His speed is usually at least 20 miles per hour, so his iPhone case did a great job. The screen did not break on his phone.  Needless to say he has now used Gorilla glue on the phone holder on his bike and it will never fall off again!

steve-run June 26,2016

Ran 3.2 miles.

There were actually a couple hundred people doing the triathlon this morning, but I noticed in most of the pictures, Superman is there by himself.  Just assume it’s because Superman is winning! 🙂  Not really, but he did do very well!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

This was designed for a scrapbook page, but it’s not too hard to make a card with it instead.

You can see the cherries are popped up on dimensionals and so is the circle layer.

“you’re just the sweetest” is the perfect sentiment for this card.  I made this card to thank Crystal, my sweet friend who made Revelation scripture cards for each member of our BSF discussion group.  Thanks so much Crystal!

james and the giant peach

Here’s the “peach” from Keegan’s play, James and the Giant Peach.  Sunday was Keegan’s group fifth day in a row to perform the play.  They are done and they did a great job!  Keegan’s next thing is trying out for the performing choir and jazz choir at his high school.

Abby and the American Boy’s Choir had their concert today and it was fabulous!  Choir is over for Abby until next September.  Her next thing is the six AP exams she has over the next two weeks starting with AP Chemistry tomorrow.

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
