Inked & Tiled Fun Fold
This fun fold card is great if you have coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP). It fits in a standard envelope and there is no extra postage required to mail. That is a winner in my book!
I’m participating in Kylie’s monthly International Blog Highlights contest and the top 10 vote winners get to participate in an International Blog Hop. Would you consider taking a moment and voting for my card? I’d really appreciate it! My card is #2. Thanks to you I made the top 10 last month! Thank you!!
How to do Voting?
Please click on the button below or click here and you can see the photos. Look for my card #2 and click on the little heart in the upper right hand corner by my photo. When it turns red, you’ve voted successfully. It’s that easy! You can vote for up to five, but it’s not required, you can also just vote for one. Thanks so much, I truly appreciate it!

Steve and I had a wonderful long weekend in Chicago! On our way there Thursday morning, we spent some time with Steve’s Mom, Ruby, in Davenport. Thursday evening Steve had a business meeting in downtown Chicago and I got to go to dinner with my sweet stamping friend, Sharon Burkert. Stamping friends are the best! Sharon brought me a bag of Garrett’s Mix popcorn- caramel corn and cheese corn. It’s my absolute favorite!
Friday we enjoyed a Korean lunch at Rice ‘N Bread (3435 N Sheffield Ave. Chicago) and the Chicago Cubs game with Steve’s brother, Mike. I had Dolsot Bibimbap with chicken. It was so good and we will definitely eat there again the next time we go to a Cubs game!
The Cubs are on a roll and have won most of their games the last couple weeks, but not on Friday when we were at Wrigley Field. The Atlanta Braves had some impressive home runs, however.
I did all the driving in Chicago this weekend including driving to the Cubs game. After driving in Houston, Texas for Sean & Amy’s wedding last summer, all driving seems easy now.
On our way home from the game we went to Di Benedetto (1766 W Algonquin Road, Hoffman Estates) for amazing homemade pasta! We had Cavatelli with red sauce and crumbled Italian sausage and Gnocchi with sliced sausage and pesto sauce. This may be the best pasta I’ve ever had. (until we go to Italy next Spring!)
I was a gymnast growing up and Steve and I both love watching gymnastics, especially Senior Elite Women (and Olympians) and NCAA Women’s gymnastics. It was so exciting to see Suni again as she won the beam competition. She is a spectacular gymnast and the reigning All Around Olympic Champion!
Simone is the greatest of all time (GOAT) and it was a thrill to see her in person on Saturday night. If you watched the National NBC news on Saturday night you might’ve seen Steve and I cheering for Simone during her beam routine. We had several people contact us to say they say us on TV. 🙂
Last time I saw Simone was at a meet two years ago right before the Olympics when I gave her this goat dancing on a balance beam with a gold medal in her hand card. The beam says,” You’re the GOAT Greatest of All Time!” I wrote scripture and encouragement inside her card.
The gymnasts put on quite a show on Saturday night! We went to one session of gymnastics on Friday night and two more sessions on Saturday. Sunday we drove home after stopping in Iowa City to bring our daughter the Garrett’s popcorn she requested and lunch from her favorite Mediterranean restaurant- Oasis Falafel (206 N Linn St, Iowa City). We had the Chicken Shawarma with hummus, falafel and french fries. The french fries are not Mediterranean but have the Mediterranean spice on them and are consistently voted the best fries in Iowa City.
