Stampin Up cards made with Cherry on Top DSP designed by Ruth Sollberger.

Ruth cased one of my 3×3 card sets and sent me this adorable picture quite awhile ago. I love your cards Ruth!

I love to CASE cards, and love it when others CASE my cards.  If you ever choose to CASE one of my cards, please send me a picture so I can show it on my blog.  I also love receiving cards in the mail.  If you send me a card, I’ll put it on a future Friends of Stamping Mom Friday feature.

I bet you love to receive cards too.  One of my new year’s resolutions is to actually send the cards I make.  I give a lot of cards away as gift sets, but don’t send as many as I should.

To start the new year off right, I sent about ten cards this morning.  I also sent out some of the new catalogs.  If you’d like me to be your Stampin’ Up demo, please email me and I’ll send you the new catalogs.  My email is Beth@StampingMom.com  If you work with another demo, please check with them for your catalogs.

Saturday is the last day to reserve your Stamparatus.  You may think you can wait until June, but when you see it, I believe you’ll want it sooner.  Reserve yours here

The whole McCullough clan (24 people) are descending on West Des Moines tomorrow and will be here until Sunday.  The presents are wrapped, the house is decorated, the menu is planned and the groceries are purchased.  I do have some last minute cleaning and a little more food prep to do tomorrow.  I wonder how much sleep we’ll get with 14 teenagers in the house for two nights?!  The other eight adults will stay in a hotel while Steve and I have a slumber party with all the kids.  Hopefully they’ll want to do some stamping and play some cards!

Grandma Ruby’s 80th Birthday and Big Stampin’ Up Sale!

I’ve been asked why I haven’t been posting lately? I stamp almost everyday and have been doing lots of stamping related things. Today I looked and realized I have 16 posts that I never published.  I’m going to share a few of them over the next couple weeks even though some are a little outdated.

*Note to Altanta Stampin’ Up! demo who used to live in Iowa- You tried to contact me through Facebook and I accidentally erased your message as I was trying to reply to it.    Please contact me through email at Beth@StampingMom.com  I’m looking forward to chatting with you. 🙂

We had a fun and busy Labor Day weekend.  Saturday morning we drove to Davenport to take Grandma Ruby and Grandpa Harold out to The Machine Shed restaurant to celebrate Ruby’s 80th birthday.  The weekend  before was Grandma Ruby’s 80th birthday celebration but none of us were able to go.  Steve and Keegan were in Tijuana, Mexico on a mission trip for Homes for Hope, a division of Youth With A  Mission (YWAM.)  Steve and I went on this mission trip last year.  It was very rewarding to build a house for a family in Mexico in two days.  Keegan wasn’t sure he wanted to go, but he loved it!  He was the only teenager on the trip.  He learned how to use a chop saw, how to frame and how to roof.  He also loved the kids, ages two and four and the stray dog that hung out with them.  It’s good for a sixteen year old from the USA who has his own room in a nice home, to see that there are lots of people in the world that live in a totally different situation.  It was also good for him to see the joy that this Mexican family had, even though they were so poor by American standards.  The Mom accepted Christ while they were there, which was amazing to witness.

Anyway we had a great time with Grandma Ruby and Grandpa Harold.  I spent the day working on Ruby’s 80th birthday party album.  I’ve been a SU demo for about fifteen years. My in-laws were thrilled with the album I made for Ruby. They said it was almost like I was a “professional.” It made me smile. I’m so glad I invested in the large numbers and letters. I use them all the time.

The Stampin’ Up! fiscal year goes from Oct 1 through Sept 30.  Due to my sweet customers, awesome downline, and kind people buying “shares” from me, I was able to retain my title of Silver Elite for the second year.  Thank you so much!  When I go to OnStage in November 2017 and April 2018 I will get to attend the “special” events.  I told you last year, that after 15 years of watching others get these special benefits, it was a thrill for me to be included.  I feel so blessed to get to do this for a second year.  Thank you so much!!

Oh Happy Day, Happy Day!  Yep, Abby was home this weekend for the first time since leaving for college seven weeks ago.  I drove to get her Friday afternoon and was so excited as I getting closer to Iowa City.  Before I actually got to Iowa City I started crying.  Not sure what that was…relief to get to bring her home after seven weeks?  Her requests for the weekend: go to church as a family Saturday night, make some of her favorite food (Ziti Cucina and Pot Roast), play with the pups and watch a movie with Superman.  Yep, he’s a pretty super Dad too!

Bike Ride Thank you cards

Stampin' Up Bike Ride thank you cards designed by demo Beth McCullough. Please see more card and gift ideas at www.StampingMom.com #StampingMom #cute&simple4u

I made thank you cards for our purple team coaches.  If you like to ride your bike or love someone who does, then the Bike Ride stamp set from Stampin’ Up! is for you!

At our banquet on Monday, I was surprised to find out I was the third place “Biggest Loser” out of  approx. 50 Pedal Off the Pounds participants based on percentage of weight lost.

Yep, me and four guys were the top 5!  The winner was Joe, also on my Purple team.  He lost 5% more than me.  He’s second from the right.  I’m proud of you Joe!  Joe won the bike.  I won a bag and a gift card to my favorite bike shop.  I already bought myself some really nice gel bike gloves.

Here I am counting the beads for our Purple team.  Superman is with me being supportive!

Here’s my Purple team and our coaches.  We actually lost the largest percentage weight as a team!  This is a very fun, caring, awesome group of people!

This card is for Amy.  She rides a bright purple and Lemon Lime Twist bike.  (She doesn’t actually know it’s Lemon Lime Twist, but it is. 🙂  She calls her bike “Joker”.  In fact she encouraged us all to name our bikes.  My bike is still called “bike.”  I’ll let you know if that changes.  I used the embossing paste with one drop of Smoky Slate reinker and tried to make an artsy brick wall.  This is the first time I’ve tried the new embossing paste and I loved it!  It was much easier and less messy than I thought it would be.  I also used my aqua painter to add some Smoky Slate to “ground” the bike, so it wouldn’t be floating in the air.

This is Erin’s bike.  She rides a black bike with orange accessories.  She’s an accountant so I knew she’s want her brick wall to be more “perfect” or accountant like.  (I can say that because I’m an accountant as well.  I  have trouble making things off center or more artsy.)

Anyway my two coaches were awesome and I’m applying to be a coach next summer.  I still have about 50 more pounds to lose.

I’m getting ready for the new Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) year to begin.  The mission of Bible Study Fellowship is global, in-depth Bible classes producing passionate commitment to Christ, His Word and His Church. Our vision is to magnify God and mature His people as they cultivate a deeper relationship with Him.   I’ve been studying with BSF for fifteen years.  I’ve learned so much, but still have a lot more to learn.  I’m a group leader for 17 women.  Here’s the name tags I’m making for this year.  I hope they like them.
