Fine Art Floral Birthday

Have you seen the new Fine Art Floral Suite in the Jan-June Mini Catalog? It’s super pretty! I took this picture at a funny angle because I wanted you to be able to see how stunning the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP) is with a covering of Golden Garden Acetate. The DSP and Acetate is cut at 3″ x 4″ so you can get 12 cards from each sheet! I layered it on Flirty Flamingo and wrapped the 3/8″ Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon around it. The whole piece is popped up on a Foam Adhesive Sheet and adhered to Thick Basic White card stock. I used Gold Embossing powder and the flower from To a Wild Rose on the envelope. It’s a simple yet elegant card that you can send for birthday, thank you, thinking of you or almost any occasion.

I’ll have another easy fun fold made with the Fine Art Floral Suite on Friday.

I have been getting out two mornings a week for Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Leadership and Discussion Group. Steve and I do our Facebook Lives on Wednesday at noon Central time. We are planning to go to Park City, Utah to go skiing with our two older sons later this Winter. If you’ve been there, I’d love to hear about where to eat and what to do (besides skiing.)

I taught everyone in my family how to ski, but they are all better than me now. Steve has a bum knee, so that may slow him down enough to ski with me on the blue runs. This will be our first trip since COVID began. If you have any travel advice, please let me know.

Berry Blessings Note Cards

Today is also the beginning of Kylie’s International Highlights monthly contest for 2021! I used one of my very favorite products from the new Mini catalog, the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle, along with one of the my favorite products from the Annual catalog, the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. These two products were meant to go together. Bright, happy, glimmery colors and ice cream, what could be better?

To make the beautiful frame, I used the largest and third largest Stitched Rectangle dies and ran them together through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (SCEM). The frame is popped up using Foam Adhesive Strips. (Save the center part for another awesome card.) I used Basic Black and So Saffron Cardstock (CS). The ice cream dips and cones were punched from Rainbow Glimmer Paper using the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch. The dips are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Melon Mambo ink and cut it out using the banner from the Tasteful Labels dies. If you get this Sweet Ice Cream Bundle you’ll be making darling birthday cards in no time at all! 🙂
