Stampin’ Up! Convention 2015 swaps

swap

I am having a great time at the Stampin’ Up! Convention 2015.  This afternoon I attended a presentation by Lisa Pretto and a Pals Sip and Swap.  Mary Fish’s Pretty Pals are a creative bunch and I received some awesome swaps.  I’m going to be showing you some of my favorites over the next couple weeks.  This beautiful card was made by Lynn Kolcun.  It was great meeting you tonight Lynn, and I love your swap card!  I have everything to make this card except for the Greetings Thinlits.  Guess what is going on my next order?

Tomorrow morning everyone at convention will be receiving the Holiday catalog.  Stop back and I’ll have more for you tomorrow.

Blessings,

Beth

Watermelon Wonder Flower

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July.  This month we are excited to show off the new 2015 – 2017 Stampin’ Up! In Colors, namely, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. The In Color products include card stock, designer series paper, ribbon and other embellishments.  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Brian King at Stamp with Brian, number 7 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush are my favorite new In Colors.

I used the In Color DSP Stacks for the flower and the insert on the envelope.

The sentiment and flower stem came from Tin of Cards stamp set.  A snippet of 1″ Dotted Lace Trim was stapled on for the leaves.  Can you guess where I got the center of the flower?

I used White Emboss Powder and a stamp from Six-Sided Sampler.  I punched it out with the 7/8″ scallop circle punch.

My Dad just got out of the hospital Sunday, after having open heart double bypass surgery and a heart valve replacement a week ago. Today he went back to the hospital after suffering a minor stroke.  I made this card for my Dad tonight to help cheer him up.  Making cards always cheers me up to!

One of my new favorites from the 2015-16 Stampin’ Up! catalog is the Gift Bag Punch Board.  This gift bag fits about six A2 cards and envelopes.  The directions for altering the bag came from Sara Levin.  Please leave me a comment if you would like the instructions to make the gift bag.  I also really like the new 1″ Dotted Lace Trim.  You can get this Lace Trim in all the new In Colors.

I also made four cards using the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set.  This is my favorite “Host” set.  You can earn this set by hosting a party or purchasing $150 or more.
