Ellen is turning 101!  Here’s the card I made for her.  I don’t know Ellen, but if I live until I’m 101, I hope someone will make cards for me!  Ellen~ I wish you God’s blessings each day!  If you would like to send Ellen a card please click here for the post that has her address.

I came up with the colors for Ellen’s card from the ColourQ Challenge- cQc#341

cqc341

The colors are Kraft, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Peach Parfait and White.  I know what you’re thinking…Peach Parfait….yep it’s a long ago retired Stampin’ Up! color.  Since I have 13 years of Stampin’ Up! supplies, I still own Peach Parfait!  Did you notice the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies that I used on this card?  When I looked through the new 2016-17 Catalog, The Swirly Scribbles Dies were the first thing on my list!  Only demos have been able to order out of the new catalog.  Sign up with me and you can order now too!

Ryan did make it home safely from Seattle this morning.  I had fun hearing all the stories of everything Sean and Ryan did together.  Ryan also spent a lot of time exploring the city while Sean was at work.  Ryan really looks up to and loves his older brother, Sean.  They are five years apart, but they are such close friends!

We aren’t much of a gift giving family, but Ryan loves to read and brought home books for Abby, Keegan, Steve and I.  He was smart about it.  He purchased books that he wanted to read, but thought the gift receiver would like too.  What a sweetie!

Sean left on a work trip to Amsterdam and London this morning.  He’s never been to Europe and couldn’t be any more excited.

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

Happy Birthday Pam!

A lot of my Stampin’ Up! team mates have birthdays in May.  Today is Pam’s Birthday.  She was the first person to sign up with me.  I wish you the happiest of birthdays Pam!  Here’s the birthday card I made for Pam.

This is my second try at the Floating Reinker Technique (invented by Canadian demo Sandi MacIver.)

After it was dry, I splattered black ink using an Aqua painter.  Note to self- next time splatter a little less aggressively.  My entire work surface now has black splatters. 🙂

The challenge this week at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog is heat embossing.  I’ve been on a heat embossing roll lately.  Get out your heat gun and join the challenge here!

Here’s my favorite Floating Reinker and heat embossed card from last week:

#imbringingbirthdaysback and 101st Birthday!

Ellen Lemke is turning 101!  Ellen is a friend of a friend.  Here’s a card made by my friend and customer, Lynn.

StampinUp 101 birthday card made by Lynn Tague.

I love this card and I know Ellen will also.  Do you see how Lynn personalized it with her name? If you have time, would you like to send Ellen a card?  Here’s her address:

We recently sent cards to Shannon West from Stampin’ Up! who started the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement.

Shannon's birthday

Shannon has put a smile on so many faces this year by sending them birthday cards, I’m so happy we were able to help put a smile on her face too.  Shannon received hundreds of cards!  Mine is in there somewhere.  Thanks to those of you who also sent her a card!

Who are you going to send a homemade card to today and put a smile on their face?

Keegan does not know the results of any of his auditions yet.  Tomorrow is the jazz choir audition.

Abby is thrilled to be done with  the AP tests.  These are college courses she’s taking as a high school student.

In the last week, we spent three days in Chicago, I hosted 13 of my BSF ladies for lunch, had two stamping classes and have finished most of my gardens. I have pictures and stories I’ll be sharing all week.  This is why there hasn’t been many blog posts lately.

Ryan just spent a week with Sean in Seattle and I’m picking him up at the airport tomorrow morning.  It’s good to have brother bonding.  I’m not sure what all they did, but I know Sean convinced Ryan to start a retirement fund.  What a good brother!  Every 20 year old needs a brother encouraging him to save for his future!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
