Festive Friday-Cross of Hope Easter Card

Festive Friday Challenge- Easter and/or Flowers

It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge!  I love being a designer for Festive Friday and this week’s challenge #FF0004 is Easter (Apr 1) and/or Flowers.  I haven’t seen many of my friends, customers and blog readers joining the challenge, and I know this week will be different.  I love making Easter cards and I know everyone makes cards with flowers. 🙂

Do you remember my Kate Spade style bunny card and 5 Nugget Box from last year?  I’m going to use this to show you how easy it is to enter the Festive Friday Challenge if you don’t have a blog.  This card is on my Easter board on my Pinterest.  I went to the picture and clicked on it and this URL showed up in the top line. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/573434965040738728/  That would be the link I would use if I was entering this in the challenge. Makes perfect sense right?  I thought so.  I’m very excited to see how many of you enter the challenge this week.  I can’t wait to see your Easter and/or Flower cards and 3-D projects!  Head over to the challenge and earn points to choose free items from our Festive Friday store! You can enter three times for each challenge and earn three Fest Points.  You’ll earn even more points if you’re chosen as one of our Festive Friday Faves! #festivefridaychallenge

In our store you can use your points to choose tutorials, cards we’ve made, Stampin’ Up DSP or ribbon and you can even use points to be a guest designer for our challenge!

I was blessed to attend the Stampin’ Sister’s Retreat hosted by Tina Rappe and Peggy Murwin.  This is my favorite card I made during the weekend and it is perfect for an Easter card.  Do you like the Elegant Eggplant Ribbon?  Grab an ink pad, Sponge Dauber and Whisper White 1/4″ Organza Ribbon, and in a jiffy you’ll have the perfect color ribbon to match any of your projects.  I’ve also used the  Stampin’ Blends and Stampin’ Write Markers to color any of the white or vanilla ribbon.

A few more bunnies…

I’m a designer for Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog, and our challenge for this week is dry embossing.  Please head over and join the fun.

  • For my dry embossing, I used a retired Stampin’ Up! embossing folder called Pretty Paisleys.  This is one that I probably will never get rid of because I love the look of it on clean and simple cards.

  • I love that the inside of the card says, “May All Your Chocolate Be Solid.”  This was my warm up card for the Kate Spade style Bunny card I made last week.

  • I’ve been asked what’s up with all these bunny cards and boxes? I just think they are cute and fun.  Let me assure you that I am a Christian and I love the Lord with all my heart!  If you want to know what I believe, please read the excerpt below that explains what we believe as Christians:

“Most Christians know that Easter is the most important day of the entire church year. Easter, of course, is the day Jesus rose from the dead. The Bible states that (Jesus) was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:25).
On Good Friday Jesus died on the cross. His suffering and death and the shedding of His innocent blood was the PAYMENT for all our sins. Because Jesus made the payment on our behalf, for our sins, there is nothing more that we need to pay. There is nothing that we can pay. Jesus did it all for us.
On the third day Jesus rose from the dead. His resurrection was God’s way of demonstrating that He had accepted the payment that Jesus made for us. In other words, the resurrection of Jesus from the dead is our PROOF OF PURCHASE. Jesus redeemed (bought us back) from our sin, from death and from the power of the devil. Because of that payment that Jesus made for us, God has now “justified” us or declared us to be “not guilty”. We are forgiven. And that means we have the certainty of eternal life through Jesus. “Whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
No wonder Easter means so much to the Christian. It is our day of victory. “Because I (Jesus) lives, you (we) also will live” (John 14:19).
On Easter we decorate our church with flowers, most of which are white (the Easter lily). White is the color of joy and  holiness. Because Jesus died and rose again, all our sins are forgiven and, through faith in Him, we are cleansed and purified, of all sin.
Easter is also the symbol of new life from the dead. As believers in Jesus, we have a new life. It is the life we live by faith in Him who loved us and gave Himself for us. Each day of our lives, we want to live for Him to show our love and gratitude for all that He has done for us.
May our Easter celebration bring renewed joy, celebration and life through our risen and glorified Savior – JESUS CHRIST!”

He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
