My kids are all adults now and they still love Reese’s peanut butter treats as much as they did when they were kids. Easter eggs, pumpkins, Christmas trees…they like them all! In a couple weeks I am blessed to be a Grandma for the first time and when my grandson is old enough, I envision making Reese’s holiday treats for him, too. Less than four weeks to go until the due date and I’m giddy with excitement! Please leave me a comment and let me know what you make for your kids or grandkids. New Grandma advise is always welcome, too!

I love to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers in my gardens. Just in time for Easter, about ten bunches of daffodils were blooming beautifully in the gardens in front of my house. These stunning daffodils convinced me I needed to use the Daffodil Dies before they retire at the end of the month. The stamp set is sold out, but the dies are still available. They were originally $38 now selling for $15. You do not need the stamp set to make this card.

As I started to make the card, I realized everything I was using is on sale except the cardstock. What a great time to scoop up some awesome products at discounted prices. The Amazing Thanks dies are $10.80 originally $27. The Tea Boutique DSP, Fine Shimmer Paper, Vellum Layering Designs, 2021-23 In Color Opals and Fresh Freesia Ribbon are all drastically reduced. You can see all the products I used to make this card at the bottom of this post.

Measurements & Details-

Card Base 4-1/4” x 11” Mint Macaron
DSP Layer 4” x 5-1/4” -In the video I explain how to cut this down to the perfect “T shaped” layer for this card.
Vellum (2) ¾” x 4-1/4” adhere these with Mini Glue Dots.

If you watch the video, you will see that the cutting and scoring for this card is very easy with the Stampin’ Up’ Trimmer. Here’s the video showing how to make this card.

The sentiment inside is from the brand new Wonderful Thoughts stamp set which will be available to customers beginning May 2, 2023.

I am very happy the Playing in the Rain stamp set and dies carried over into the new Annual catalog which begins May 2, 2023. The Rain or Shine DSP is retiring, so I bought a couple of extra packs. The bunnies and turtles are colored so beautifully and I love just running them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (SCEM). Then they are ready to pop onto a card.

We had so much fun watchin Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeye Women’s Basketball team make it all the way to the National Championship!! They lost to LSU in the Championship game on Sunday, but they brought a lot of joy to Iowans throughout the season. Way to go Hawkeyes! (Steve and I are both graduates from the University of Iowa.) Caitlin Clark grew up in our hometown, West Des Moines, Iowa, as did Shawn Johnson, the great Olympic gymnast from 2008. We are so proud of these awesome Iowa women and the example they set for others! 🙂
