Baby card for Miss Piper!

babyelephant

My dear friend and Stampin’ Up! downline, Jenny, welcomed home her new baby,Piper, about two months ago.  Talk about pressure for the perfect baby card.  Tonight I decided that Jenny would love any card I send her and I need to think like Nike and Just Do It!  So I found the colors with this week’s Global Design Project

Colour Challenge

I went to Pals Paper Arts for the layout.

PPA-290-Mar03

I got the fun fold and measurements for the card from Lisa Ann Bernard.  Thanks Lisa!  She’s one the designers for Pals Paper Arts.

I used this weeks Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge and flipped it on its side to design a baby card I needed to make.  English Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) makes the perfect background for a darling baby girl card.

I love the onesie hanging on the “clothes line” with clothes pins.  I think I may need to hand deliver this card. 🙂

One of Ryan’s favorite teachers had a new baby girl recently, so I made this card for the family.  I used Stampin’ Up’s new  set, “Something for Baby” and the matching framelits called, “Baby’s First”  The Designer Paper is called “Lullaby.”  The colors are Crisp Cantaloupe , Baked Brown Sugar and Hello Honey.  The flower, onesie and hanger are all cut out using the framelits.   I also added the duck from the same set for the envelope.  I think this will be a stamp set and framelits that I will always keep because I can make dozens of different cute baby cards with it.
