I love my customers and like to send a unique thank you card each month. This month I made this flap card using the Basic Borders dies to crop the flap. I have a video of a FB Live showing how to make this card.
Did you know the stamp set, Shaded Summer, coordinates with the free SAB Summer Shadow dies?
Here’s a card I made using just the free Summer Shadows dies.
Enjoy everyone’s beautiful projects in the hop below.
Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Sentiment as a focal point.” We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Do you ever buy a stamp set because of one sentiment? I just did. Words of Cheer is a Christmas set in the Fall Mini Catalog and it has this awesome “happy” with an additional layer behind it. Don’t recognize it? Well, I did some surgery and cut the evergreen leaves off the back layer. I love making bright and happy cards, so I thought my stash definitely needed to include “happy”! And who doesn’t need a big “happy” to be the focal point of their card?! 🙂 See everything I used to make this card at the bottom of this post.
I added a strip of DSP to the inside of the card and covered the flap of the envelope to make them both cute and coordinating. Here’s a Live Video we recorded last night showing how to make this card and a similar Christmas card. Steve and I made the video right before leaving for a Black Tie event we go to once a year. You probably won’t see Steve in a tux or me in a dress on a video again until next year. 🙂
Here’s another card I made recently from the same Expressions In Ink Suite.
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on October 13th. Our theme will be Fantastic Fun Folds and 3D Projects when participants showcase fun fold cards or 3D items that will be great for any occasion. Until then, have fun in your craft space.
I love making bright and happy cards and this one made my heart sing! The Summer Shadows Dies are free with a $100 purchase until September 30. I applied Adhesive Sheets to the back of Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Mango Melody cardstock. Run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (SCEM) and you have flower and leaf stickers! I adhered them to Basic Black cardstock. I used the Blends to color some pearls to coordinate. The Double Oval Punch and the Delicate Dahlias stamp set (also free with a $100 purchase during Sale-A-Bration) made a sweet sentiment. See all the supplies I used and order from my online store at the bottom of this post.
I’m participating in Kylie’s monthly International Blog Highlights contest and the top 10 vote winners get to participate in an International Blog Hop. Would you consider taking a moment and voting for my card? I’d really appreciate it!
How to do Voting? Once you click on the button below or click here and you can see the photos. Please look for my card (#29 ) and click on the little heart sign on the right-hand top side of my photo. Once you’ve touched the little clear heart it will turn to Red Color and that is the notification that you voted. You can vote for up to five, but it’s not required, you can also just vote for one. Thanks so much, I truly appreciate it!

Hope those of you in the USA had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Steve, Ryan and I had fun going to a Christian concert by “I am They.” It was awesome and the weather was perfect. Steve and I also spent three days cleaning and organizing our garage. It is not perfect, but the best it’s ever been in the 30 years we’ve lived here. Steve didn’t think it was necessary, but secretly I think he’s thrilled to have all his tools organized and know where everything is. At the very least, it’s a gift for our kids who won’t have to haul as much junk out of our garage some day. 🙂
