The gorgeous Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP) was the starting point for this encouragement card. The sentiment came from the Band Together stamp set. The gold foil is cut from the Detailed Band dies. The Blackberry Bliss frame was cut using the Stitched Rectangles dies and embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. The flower stamp is from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set. I stamped in Versamark and used Gold Stampin’ emboss powder. The flower and leaves were cut using the Beautiful Layers dies. The card base is Balmy Blue. I added some rhinestones too. If you have any questions, please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com

Merry Christmas! I hope you had a wonderful holiday. My favorite part of Christmas is celebrating the birth of Christ at my church, Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, IA. Hope had about 100 members when we joined in 1994 and now is the 18th biggest church in the USA. We have several locations and an online service every Sunday at 11am Central time. Here’s the link to find out more.

This is our son, Ryan, handing out gifts on Christmas Eve. It’s Ryan first Christmas with a real job as a software engineer and the first time he had money to buy gifts for his siblings and parents. He relished picking out special items for each of us and loved handing them out!

After church and celebrating with just the six of us, we always go to our dear friend’s home on Christmas Eve and celebrate with two other families from our original church small group. We break into teams and play a game. The 2019 Christmas champions were our sons, Sean and Ryan, and our sweet friend, Kelly. They are holding up one finger to signify their win. Abby and Keegan were at all the Christmas festivities and were careful to avoid being in the pictures.

Last weekend we celebrated with Steve’s family in Davenport, IA. It was the first Christmas since Steve’s Dad passed away. The 13 grandkids each got one of Grandpa Harold’s signed Chicago Cubs baseballs. Ryan stated he really wanted the “Sammy Sosa” ball. Abby was first to pull out a wrapped ball and it was the one that Ryan wanted. I think Ryan is still in negotiations with Abby trying to do a trade for the prized ball. Grandpa Harold always decorated his house with blue Christmas lights because he and Grandma were big fans of Elvis, who sang, “Blue Christmas.” This year Uncle Bill had a blue light display to honor their Dad.

We also celebrated in Kansas City with my family. The day included really good food, lots of games, Dominos, cards and a family walk. It was 66 degrees, which is the warmest it’s been on Christmas in 50 years! My Dad is 80 and still drives my Mom on their three hour trip to Kansas. He looks forward to being an elf every year at their Independent Living facility. Here’s my Mom sitting on Dad’s lap, Papa Noel in the center and another elf.

Steve, #triguy, is helping to keep the doctors and hospitals in business. His heart ablation in November didn’t actually work, although we thought at first it had been successful. He’s going to Mayo and having a second heart surgery in February. Today he is also having his knee fixed, but it is out patient and we should be home after a couple hours. Please pray for Steve for a successful surgery and quick recovery. Steve says he’s being rehabbed and will be ready to go for the triathlon season starting in May.

The new Mini catalog starting Jan 3, has a set that seems it was made for #triguy. It shows him swimming, running and biking. The biker is wearing a helmet in this stamp set which makes us both very happy. #triguy and our son, #ryguy both had their lives saved by a bike helmet, so we are huge advocates for them. If you get on a bike, please wear a helmet!

Snowman Sampler

https://stampingmom.com/snowman-sampler/ Stampin Up Snowman Sampler made by demo Beth McCullough. Shop 24/7 and see more card and gift ideas at www.StampingMom.com #StampingMom #cute&simple4u

I love this Snowman Sampler. I actually made it for a gift exchange with my Central Iowa Demo group, but my daughter, Abby, asked me to keep it for her because she liked it so much. I went to a class the day before the Lansing OnStage ( even demos have fun going to classes) and the original darling sampler was designed by Dawn Bourgette. It was fun to meet Dawn and cheer for her as she presented at OnStage the next day 🙂 I came home and added my own twist to it. I wanted to include “Joy” because my team is called, ” Joy Stampers.” We have a fun, growing team of wonderful gals who love to stamp, and use their craft to bring joy to others! If you enjoy stamping, want to spread joy and get your stamp supplies at a discount, you should join us! We are currently in 3 states and part of a very large national team with members in every state!

It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge!  I love being a designer for Festive Friday and this week’s challenge #FF0049 is Christmas (Dec 25). The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project. Incorporate THREE or more of the items in your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge  I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item and join us. If you want help entering, please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com and I’d love to help you!

I used the trees, snow/snowflakes and embossing folder off the Inspo List to create my Snowman Sampler.

Here’s a free PDF showing the supplies and directions to make this Snowman Sampler. I purchased the 12″ x 12″ white shadowbox from Michael’s. There’s too much dimension added to put it in a regular frame.

I will be doing a “I want it all” share and Designer Series Paper share again for the 2020 Mini catalog. This helps customers and demos alike get a sample of most things in the catalog. I’ll announce the pricing soon and hope you’ll consider purchasing from me.

We went to the Black Tie Iowa Business Hall of Fame Dinner this week. Most of the gals there were in gorgeous evening gowns, updos and fur coats. I don’t care about the updos or fur coats, but every year I say that next year I’ll lose weight and show up in a beautiful long dress. I’m telling you about it so you can hold me accountable and next year I’ll show up in something better than my black pants and sparkly jacket. #triguy, my sweet husband, Steve, always looks great in his tuxedo. 🙂

Blessings,

Beth

Snowman Fun Fold Card & Box

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for our Retirement Fun Fold Party  – showcasing our favorite products from the Holiday Catalog that will be leaving us forever. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I love making fun fold cards and this one is super easy. It’s a regular A2 card cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Normally you would just score at 4-1/4″. On this card you score at both 4-1/4″ and 7-1/4″. That’s it 🙂 Here’s a free PDF with supplies and directions to make this card.

I used the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), Snowfall accents Puff Paint and Let It Snow Embellishment Kit which are all retiring soon and only available while supplies last.

Here’s what the card looks like flat as it comes out of the envelope. These cute snowman and trees are just fussy cut from the DSP.

The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder. The Blueberry Bushel piece is popped up on dimensionals so the folded part of the card can rest against it. I also left white space for a hand written greeting.

I couldn’t stop with just the cute card and made this coordinating gift box using the Stitched Nested Labels dies. My box shape is cased from demo Brenda Quintana, but I made my box a smaller size and decorated with the snowman. Here’s a link to the video to make the box.
